Beloved of All
We lift you and your son before the Lord and agree with you in prayer for deliverance, for health, and for healing from the wounds of the past.
Scripture shows that when God gave His covenant, blessings were spoken from one mountain and curses from the other, and the people were to answer Amen, acknowledging that God is right and just in what He declares. The curses described in Deuteronomy 27 and 28 are presented as the result of turning away from the voice of the Lord and not keeping His commands. They are said to pursue and overtake a life that shuns Him. There are only a few verses of blessing and many verses of curse, because disobedience was the more common path. To ask that curses be ended is to ask to be brought fully under the mercy of Christ and to walk in obedience to Him, where the power of sin and darkness is broken.
The good news is that Jesus has borne our infirmities and carried our sicknesses, as Isaiah foretold and Matthew shows was fulfilled in Him. He has authority in the physical realm to heal the body and in the spiritual realm to command evil powers and they must obey Him. He breaks chains and bars of iron for those who cry out to Him, even when others have thought there was no hope. When we turn to Him there is forgiveness and deliverance.
We pray also for your son's physical health. God cares for the body He created, and all true healing is from Him, whether it comes in a moment or gradually through the processes He has built into our bodies. We ask the Lord to give wisdom for safe and steady ways to care for his health, to guide any counsel he receives, and to strengthen him step by step. And we pray for healing from past hurts. The Lord heals not only the body but also the mind and emotions, mending the scars that remain from what has happened before. He can bring peace where there has been trouble and restore what has been wounded.
Let us pray together. Father, in the name of Jesus we ask for Your protection and deliverance over this family. If there has been any consequence of sin or any work of darkness, we ask that by the blood of Jesus it be broken and ended now, and that You establish them in Your blessing as they walk in obedience to Your voice. Lay Your healing hand upon this son, guide him to lose weight in a safe and healthy way, and bring complete healing to his body. Heal also the hurts of the past, comfort his heart, and renew his mind with Your goodness. Fill this home with Your peace and help them to praise You for Your wonderful works. Amen.
