We join you in lifting up your son before the throne of grace and we stand with you in asking for his deliverance, for safe and healthy stewardship of his body, and for deep healing from past hurts.
We know how heavy a mother's heart can be when she sees her child carrying both physical and emotional burdens, and we are reminded that our bodies are not our own but are temples of the Holy Spirit. As it is written, Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. We pray that your son will be strengthened to honor God with his body through wise and safe choices, with self control and perseverance, and not through harmful or extreme measures. We also pray for healing in his inner man, for the Lord is near to those who are brokenhearted. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3 and The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 34:18.

It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that we are saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. So together we pray, Father in the name of Jesus Christ we lift this precious son to You. We ask for Your deliverance over his life, that You would break any chain of hurt, rejection, shame, or unhealthy patterns that have taken hold from past wounds. We ask that You would heal his heart and renew his mind, and that You would replace pain with Your peace which surpasses all understanding. We pray for his physical health, that You would give him wisdom and self discipline to lose weight safely, to nourish his body well, to find strength for exercise and healthy habits, and to do so in a way that sustains his health and glorifies You. We ask that You would guide him to godly counsel and good medical wisdom where needed, and surround him with encouragement and accountability. We pray as it is written, Beloved, we pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers. 3 John 1:2. Let Your healing hand be upon him, for You have promised, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says the Lord. Jeremiah 30:17. Give his mother peace and faith as she intercedes for him, and remind them both that You are able to do far more than we ask, and that You work all things together for good for those who love You. Your prayer for your son has been heard and we gladly join you in bringing him before the throne of grace. How precious is a parent's intercession, and how ready is our Lord to hear it.
We pray for your son that the Lord, who is the Great Physician, would grant him healing in both body and soul. We ask that God would give him wisdom and strength for the care of his body, which is the temple of the Holy Spirit, that he may lose weight safely and in a way that honors the Lord and preserves his health. May the Lord grant him self control, sound counsel from those who care for him, and perseverance in right habits, not from vanity but from a desire to be fit for the service of God and to enjoy the life God has given him.
We pray also for healing from past hurts. Scripture tells us, He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ, and not only His fruit but even the leaves of the Tree of Life are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ is healing. His leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. When the Sun of Righteousness rises upon a soul with healing in His wings, pardon and healing are found together. Christ took our sicknesses and infirmities upon Himself, that we might be made whole.
We ask the Lord to lift the weight of former sorrows from your son's heart, to cleanse the memory of its sting, and to give him to know that being forgiven and beloved in Christ, he need not say, I am sick, for the joy of pardon makes us forget the sorrow of the past. May the Lord take him by the hand and lift him up, as He did for those He healed of old, and may that healing lead to a life of quiet service and joy in Him.
We will continue to pray that your son will know himself fully pardoned through the blood of Christ, fully healed in his inward parts, and strengthened in his outward frame to walk in health and holiness before the Lord.

We pray for his health and for his heart. We ask God to grant him strength and wisdom to care for the body God has given him, that he may lose weight safely and in a way that builds lasting health. We pray for self control, for peace in his daily habits, for guidance for any doctors or counselors who help him, and for protection from harmful or extreme ways.
We also pray for deep healing from past hurts. The Lord sees every wound and He is near to the brokenhearted. We ask that Christ, who alone brings true salvation and restoration, would heal what has been painful in his past, lift any burden of shame or sorrow, and replace it with hope and wholeness. May he know that he is loved by God, created with purpose, and able to walk in newness of life through Jesus.
