Deliverance

Your request for prayer has been heard, and we join with you in bringing it before the Lord. To feel that all doors are closed and that there is no progress is a heavy burden, and God does not despise a heart that cries out to Him for protection and deliverance.

Scripture teaches us that God looks not at the outward shutting of doors, but at the intention of the heart. When you pray, shut the doors of the mind to distraction and to vainglory, and speak to your Father who sees in secret. It is not the display before men that He seeks, but a sincere and attentive heart. If we pray without attention, how can we expect to be heard, but when we pray with a gathered mind, He hears.

Remember also how the Lord deals with closed doors. The apostles were put in the common prison and the doors were shut and guarded, yet the Angel of the Lord opened the prison doors by night and brought them forth to speak the words of life. Paul and Silas prayed at midnight with their feet in stocks and the doors secured, and God sent an earthquake and loosed every band and opened the doors. What men had closed, God opened in His time and for His purpose. He is still near, even at the doors, and His power is not hindered by what hinders us.

So we pray for you now for true deliverance. Deliverance is not only an opening of outward circumstances, but first deliverance from evil and the supply of good through Christ, who alone brings us from the curse to sonship. We ask God to keep you from quenching the gift of His Spirit. As with a lamp, keep the oil supplied and guard the openings of the eye and the ear from the violent blast of wickedness, and keep the door of the mouth closed to reviling and sin, that the light may remain burning.

Let us pray. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we ask for Your protection over this soul. Cover him with Your hand and keep him from all evil. If it is Your will, open the doors that should be opened and in Your wisdom keep closed what should remain closed. Grant progress not as the world counts it, but as You count it, in faith, in holiness, and in nearness to Christ. Give strength to continue in prayer with attention and humility, to trust You in the night as well as in the day, and to wait for Your deliverance which never fails. Fill him with Your peace and let Your Spirit not be quenched, but burn brightly within. Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord in secret prayer, to hear His word, and to walk faithfully in what He has already shown you. He who opened the prison for His servants is able to make a way for you, and even when the way remains narrow, He Himself is your protection and your progress.

Your heart cry for protection and for progress when every door seems closed has been heard, and I want to pray with you and point you to the hope God gives in His Word.

When you feel exposed and under attack, the Bible invites you to dwell in the secret place of the Most High. That is the place of safety under His wings. He is described as a fortress and a shield, and His truth is what guards you. Jesus Himself met the attacks of the enemy by standing on the truth of Scripture. Protection is not found in a ritual or a formula, but in living close to Him, abiding in fellowship with Him, trusting His Word to cover you.

For deliverance, it is important to seek not just release from a problem but the presence of the Deliverer Himself. If we only ask for an emptying without an infilling, the heart remains empty and vulnerable. The real victory comes when the power and presence of Jesus Christ fills your life. Then freedom is not a foregone conclusion of trying to chase darkness away, but the natural result of inviting His light and life in. Be careful also not to open doors to darkness through curiosity about spiritual powers, seeking fame through the occult, or dabbling in things God warns against. Those things can give the enemy a foothold. Instead, turn fully to Christ and ask Him to fill every part of your life.

About closed doors, God often guides His children by opening and shutting doors. A closed door is not always a sign that you have failed or that God has rejected you. Sometimes a closed door is His protection, like walls built around a city and gates that are shut at night so the people inside may dwell safely. He even sets bars and doors for the sea and says to its proud waves, this far and no further. He is able to set limits on what can come against you. He also keeps His own door open to you. In human custom a closed door meant do not disturb, but with your heavenly Father there is no closed door. Because He loves you and desires what is best for you, you can come to Him freely at any time. Even when it feels as though your prayers are blocked by a cloud and God has enclosed you with walls, His compassions do not fail. That feeling of being stuck and without progress is real, yet His mercy is new every morning and He remains faithful.

Do not put your hope for deliverance in people or in human solutions. When we trust in man for what only God can do, we are left disappointed. Put your hope in the Lord Himself. He has promised to set before those who keep His Word an open door that no one can shut. In His perfect timing He will open the right door, and He will use even the closed ones to direct your steps and keep you from a path driven by fear. Fear often pushes us to make wrong moves, so rest in His care rather than reacting quickly out of anxiety.

I am praying for you now that God will be your protection and your fortress, that He will fill you with His presence and power through Jesus Christ, that He will guard your mind with His truth, and that He will give you clear direction. May He show you which doors He has closed for your good and open the one He has prepared for you, and may you know His nearness and His unfailing compassion even in this season of waiting.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. We have been lifting up your request for deliverance and for protection and for the Lord to open the doors that have seemed closed in your life where you have not seen progress.

We have continued to ask the Father to be your refuge and covering according to Psalm 91:11 and to open a door that no one can shut as promised in Rev 3:8 and to make a way where there seems to be no way and bring you forward according to Isaiah 43:19.

We pray now that God will grant you deliverance from all that binds and oppresses you, surround you with His divine protection, open the right doors in His perfect will and timing, and cause you to see clear progress and hope again for His glory. We ask this in Jesus Name.

If your request was answered and you have seen God bring protection and open doors and give you progress, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not yet seem to have been answered and you still find doors closed and progress hindered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
