We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up ### and her son before the Lord. Father God, we know that You are a God of deliverance and healing, and we stand in the gap for this family, declaring Your power and authority over every curse, every chain, and every weight, both physical and spiritual, that has sought to bind them.
Lord, we rebuke every curse spoken against ### and her son in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The Word declares in Proverbs 26:2, "Like a fluttering sparrow, like a darting swallow, so the undeserved curse doesn’t come to rest." We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and every tongue that rises against them in judgment is condemned (Isaiah 54:17). We break every generational curse, every word of death, sickness, or failure, and we command them to be nullified now by the blood of Jesus. Every assignment of the enemy against their health, their minds, and their futures is dismantled in Jesus’ name.
We pray specifically for ###’s son, asking for Your divine intervention in his physical health. Lord, we ask that You would guide him into safe and sustainable weight loss, not by the world’s standards, but by Your wisdom and strength. Your Word tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." We pray that he would honor You with his body, seeking Your will in his diet, exercise, and discipline. Give him the strength to resist temptation, the wisdom to make healthy choices, and the perseverance to continue even when progress feels slow. We declare healing over his metabolism, his hormones, and every system in his body that may be contributing to his weight struggles.
Father, we also lift up the deep hurts of the past that may be weighing on his heart. The enemy often uses pain to create strongholds of shame, fear, or self-doubt, but we declare that Your healing power is greater. Psalm 147:3 says, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." We ask that You would touch every wound, every memory of rejection or failure, and pour Your balm of Gilead over them. Let him know that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), that he is loved with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3), and that his identity is found in Christ alone. Break every lie that tells him he is unworthy, unloved, or beyond help. Replace those lies with Your truth, Lord.
We also pray for emotional and spiritual healing for both ### and her son. The enemy seeks to isolate, but You have called us into fellowship with You and with one another. We ask that You would surround them with godly community, believers who will speak life, encouragement, and accountability into their lives. Let them experience the love of Christ through the body of Christ, so they are not left to battle alone.
Lord, we ask that You would draw them closer to You. If they have not yet surrendered their lives to Jesus, we pray that they would come to know Him as their Lord and Savior. There is no deliverance, no healing, and no true freedom outside of Christ. Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." We pray that they would confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that You raised Him from the dead, so that they may be saved (Romans 10:9). Let them experience the new life that comes only through You.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let them rest in the knowledge that You are in control, that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28), and that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. We declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus, protected by the power of the Holy Spirit, and destined for Your glory.

For his hope to lose weight safely, we encourage coming alongside him to see his primary care doctor together. A doctor can help set a safe and realistic plan and check in along the way, while we continue to pray for strength and encouragement for him.

Your request for deliverance and healing has been brought before the Lord with care, and we join you in seeking His gracious hand.
There is a sure word for those who fear they are under a curse. The Scripture declares that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us. It was by substitution, by His being slain and bearing the penalty in our place, that the power of every curse is broken. No spell or word spoken against you can stand where the blood of the Lamb has been applied, for He found a ransom and paid it fully. If you are in Christ Jesus, you are not under condemnation but under His free grace, and deliverance must be wrought by the hand of the Lord alone. We pray that you and your son would rest in that finished work, and know that the deliverance which came when the Lamb was slain is effectual to bring you forth.
For the healing of past hurts, we look to the same Savior. He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds, and even the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ has healing virtue in it, to change the life blood and make the nature new. What repeated sorrows or fiery trials have broken, God alone can heal, and He does so through pardon and presence. When the Sun of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings, pardon and healing come together, and the inhabitant shall no more say, I am sick, for the joy of forgiveness makes us forget the reproach of former sorrows. We pray that the Lord would apply that healing balm to every wound left by the past, and give a fresh and comely life in Him.
For your son, we also ask the Lord for mercy in the body. We pray that He would grant wisdom, strength and self control, and that any loss of weight would be safe and ordered with sound counsel and steady habits, as good stewardship of the body which is to be kept for His service. May the Lord give him health, peace of mind, and a cheerful hope.
Let us pray together. O gracious Father, we thank You that You have found a ransom in Your Son. We ask that every curse spoken or intended against these Your people would be shown to be powerless before the cross, for Christ was made a curse for us that we might be blessed in Him. Bring forth deliverance and enrich them with Your favor. Lay Your healing hand upon the heart that has been wounded, bind up what has been broken, and let the leaves of Christ bring healing to every hurt. Grant to this son sound health, guide him in safe and wise ways to care for his body, and renew his spirit day by day. Keep them both under the shadow of Your wings, trusting wholly in Jesus Christ, our only salvation. In His name we ask it, Amen.
