We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up ### and her son before the Lord. Father God, we know that You are the breaker of every chain, the healer of every wound, and the restorer of all things. We stand in the authority of Jesus Christ, who bore our curses on the cross, and we declare that every curse spoken, generational, or self-inflicted against ### and her son is broken right now in the mighty name of Jesus!
The Word of God declares in Galatians 3:13-14, "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us; for it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree,' that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith." Lord, we claim this promise over their lives. We rebuke every spirit of affliction, sickness, and bondage that has come as a result of these curses. We command them to leave now and never return, in Jesus' name!
Father, we also lift up ###'s son and his physical health. We pray for safe and healthy weight loss, not by the world’s standards, but by Your design. Your Word tells us in 3 John 1:2, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers." Lord, we ask that You guide him in making wise choices, eating nourishing foods, exercising in a way that honors his body as Your temple, and seeking Your strength when he feels weak. We pray against any spirit of gluttony, laziness, or emotional eating that may have taken root. Instead, fill him with Your peace and self-control, as it says in Galatians 5:22-23, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control."
Lord, we also bring before You the deep hurts and wounds that ###'s son may carry from the past. You are the God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). We ask that You would bring healing to every memory, every betrayal, every rejection, and every pain that has shaped his heart. Let Your love wash over him like a river, filling every empty place with Your presence. Remind him that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that his identity is found in You alone.
We also want to gently address the spiritual foundation of this request. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and the power to break curses, heal, and restore. Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." If ### or her son have not yet surrendered their lives to Jesus, we pray that they would come to know Him as Lord and Savior. Without Christ, we are powerless against the schemes of the enemy, but through Him, we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37).
Father, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for ### as a mother. Give her the words to speak life into her son’s heart and the strength to stand in faith when the enemy tries to discourage her. Let her be a vessel of Your love and truth in his life.
We declare that no weapon formed against ### or her son shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We speak life, health, and freedom over them today. May they walk in the fullness of Your blessings, free from every curse, strong in body and spirit, and whole in every area of their lives.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
