Deliverance

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent cry for deliverance and healing. Father God, we acknowledge that You are the breaker of chains, the healer of wounds, and the restorer of all things. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we stand against every curse that has been spoken, sent, or operating against and her son. The Word declares in Galatians 3:13, "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.'" We declare that every curse is broken now by the blood of Jesus and the authority of His name. No weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).

We rebuke every spirit of infirmity, heaviness, and bondage that has sought to keep ’s son in captivity. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch to come upon his body, mind, and spirit. We pray for safe and healthy weight loss, not by the world’s standards, but by Your divine design. May his body be strengthened, his metabolism balanced, and his appetite aligned with Your will for his health. We speak life and restoration to every cell, organ, and system in his body, declaring that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). We also lift up the deep hurts of his past, every wound, rejection, or trauma that has left scars on his heart. Father, we ask that You would heal those broken places, replacing pain with Your peace and sorrow with joy. Bind up his wounds as You have promised in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds."

We must also address the foundation of this prayer. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and the power to break curses, heal, and restore. Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." If or her son do not yet know Jesus as Lord and Savior, we urge them to turn to Him today. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Salvation is the first and greatest deliverance, without it, no true freedom or healing can be fully realized.

We also declare that no generational curse or assignment of the enemy has a right to operate in their lives. Exodus 20:5-6 makes it clear that the sins of the fathers are not visited upon the children beyond the third and fourth generation for those who hate God, but mercy is shown to thousands of those who love Him and keep His commandments. If there has been any involvement in occult practices, idolatry, or ungodly soul ties in their family line, we renounce those ties now in Jesus’ name and break their power. We stand on 2 Corinthians 5:17, "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new."

Lord, we ask that You would surround and her son with Your angels, that no harm or evil would come near them. Fill their home with Your presence, their hearts with Your love, and their minds with Your truth. May they walk in the freedom that Christ died to give them, no longer slaves to fear, shame, or the works of the enemy. We pray for godly relationships to surround them, believers who will speak life, encouragement, and truth into their lives. May they be rooted and grounded in Your Word, finding their identity in You alone.

We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the name by which every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that He is Lord. Amen.

We are lifting up your son alongside you, and we can sense how much you love him and how deeply you want him to walk in freedom. It’s a holy thing to carry a child’s burdens to the Lord the way you are doing.

You asked that every curse against you both be ended. In Jesus’ name we agree, any darkness set against you is already defeated, and we pray that the weight of any threat or word spoken against you would be completely broken right now. We also pray for your son’s healing from past hurts. Much of our struggle with food can be tied to old wounds we’ve carried in silence. As Jesus heals those tender places, replacing shame with His kindness, rejection with His steady love, healthier patterns can begin to take root in a way that feels like rest, not punishment.

As he moves toward losing weight safely, we ask God to give him steady, gentle wisdom and the kind of perseverance that isn’t driven by pressure but by a growing sense of worth. And if he’s never spoken with a doctor about his health, we’d gently encourage that, not in place of prayer, but alongside it, as a practical step of good stewardship.

Now we pray together:

Father, we bring this son before You. Silence every curse and word spoken against him, not with noise, but with the quiet authority of Jesus’ victory. Heal the hurts from his past that still ache in the present. Replace what was stolen with Your peace that doesn’t make sense but holds everything together. Give him a body that is healthy and a heart that is whole. Walk with him on this journey, and let him feel Your nearness in the small choices as much as the big ones. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us; therefore, no malediction forged by man or devil can fasten upon those who are hidden in His wounds. The blood of the Paschal Lamb is upon the lintel, and the destroyer cannot enter. Where sin abounded, grace doth much more abound, all the curses that justice might have hurled have been spent upon the Substitute, and there is now no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus. So lift up your heart; the curse is broken, the venom is drawn, and God’s blessing alone remaineth.

For this dear son, the Sun of Righteousness doth rise with healing in His beams. His leaves are spread for the healing of the nations, and even the hem of His garment carries restoring power. No past hurt is so deep that His love cannot reach it, pardon and healing are one gift from His pierced hand. The hands that were nailed to the tree are able to bind up the broken heart, and the voice that cried “It is finished” can speak peace to every wounded memory. Commend him to the Great Physician; a look at the Crucified One is life and health to the soul.

As for the desire to lose weight safely, remember that the body is the temple of the Holy Ghost, and temperance is a fruit of the Spirit. Deliverance from the power of sin, whether it be appetite, sloth, or despair, is as much the work of God as deliverance from guilt. Wait upon Him who brought Israel forth with silver and gold, and not one feeble person among their tribes. He will give strength to put off the weights that hinder, and sanctify even the common acts of eating and drinking to His glory. Let this be a matter of prayer, not fretting; His grace will teach him to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts. And when the healing comes, forget not to declare the works of the Lord.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Do not seek deliverance merely as the ending of some spoken word against you, for a curse causeless shall not come. The true curse is the soul’s own bondage to sin and the belly. You pray for your son to lose weight safely and be healed from past hurts. Yet observe: no bodily member is itself to blame, but the depraved will only. If the soul chooses to mortify the flesh, it possesses absolute power over it. Pampering the body is not the flesh’s act, but the soul’s sin. As when a man kindles a fire and heaps on fuel, we blame not the flame, but him who kindled it. So too, the eye or the stomach is not the enemy; the unruly passion of the soul must be corrected. Let him learn to command what he ought, lest he become captive to lifeless appetites, which draw men from God’s service and make them subject to a harsher master.

Consider, then, the gain that comes through such a struggle. It is in your power to receive as great a reward as if you had cast away all willingly. Perhaps we admire more the one who thankfully suffers wrongs than the one who gives spontaneously. If, when suffering the trial of past hurts or bodily desires, you are thankful and do not blaspheme or run to worldly remedies, you show that you have first despised the comfort of the flesh. This loss becomes gain, and you will not be injured, but even benefited. For the evil one ever delights in drawing us into despair or excess, but godly endurance, rooted in the hearing of the word, cultivates fortitude and deliverance from all worldly things.

Let your son give careful heed to the divine word, and let it take root in a noble and good heart. Continual hearing has power to destroy even the consuming desire. What sort of desire is it, after all, to be bound in grievous bondage, full of turmoil, enduring toils without profit, and keeping the body’s health only for others? Rather, let him store up treasure where it remains safe and unmolested. The same is both treasure and seed: it bears fruits that never die. Let him seek the health of the soul, and the body’s needs will be ordered aright. Put not your trust in any display of remedy, nor in men who promise swift healing with vain words. A heretic, a deceiver, after a first and second admonition, refuse. The apostolic word cuts off those who unsettle the faithful, for they compel men to abandon their liberty and kindred above. If any would mutilate the body or teach doctrines contrary to godliness, their end is according to their works. But as for you, be not like those who, in other arts, look only to the multitude and not to the teacher. Here the loss is not a mere wrestling match, but eternal life.

He who said, “Of all that Thou gavest Me, I will surely lose nothing,” will not cast out those who cling to Him. If the son starts away of himself, He draws him not by necessity; but if he endures, the Lord will in nowise lose him. Therefore, let him go frequently to the spiritual surgery of the church. Whatever wounds he has received from past evils, there he may heal them, not gather fresh ones. Give no heed to the multitude who say the resurrection is already past in this life, that judgment is taken away, and that we must seize all pleasures now. From such words comes more ungodliness, and the good would have reaped only affliction. Better to believe no resurrection than to think it already past. The true hope lies ahead; the body’s healing, when it serves the soul, is a shadow of that glory.

Be not soft and unmanly. No one part, freedom from curses, bodily health, deliverance from hurts, is sufficient for salvation. There is required a careful hearing, a continual recollection, then fortitude, contempt of all excess, and deliverance from every worldly thing. If you do thus, you will receive many times as much, even a hundredfold, not in fleeting coin but in the peace that passes understanding. Keep your wealth of soul there, where the watch kept is impregnable.
