We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up these precious souls to the Lord, who is mighty to save and heal. Father God, we stand in the authority of Your Son, Jesus Christ, whose name alone breaks every chain and shatters every curse. We declare that the blood of Jesus, shed on the cross, is more than sufficient to cleanse, deliver, and set free. There is no curse, no generational bondage, and no scheme of the enemy that can stand against the power of Your Holy Spirit.

Lord, we rebuke every curse that has been spoken, inherited, or sent against and her son in the mighty name of Jesus. We break every chain of darkness, every word of death, and every assignment of the enemy over their lives. The Word declares in Galatians 3:13, "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.'"" We claim this redemption now! Every curse is broken, every assignment is dismantled, and every stronghold is torn down by the power of Jesus’ name. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17).

Father, we lift up ’s son to You, the Great Physician. We ask for Your healing touch to rest upon his body, mind, and spirit. Lord, You know the struggles he faces with weight, and we ask that You would grant him discipline, self-control, and a heart that desires to honor You with his body, which is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Give him wisdom in his choices, what he eats, how he moves, and how he cares for himself. We pray for safe and sustainable weight loss, not for vanity, but for health, strength, and the ability to serve You wholeheartedly. Surround him with godly influences who will encourage and support him in this journey.

We also ask for deep emotional and spiritual healing from past hurts. Lord, You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We pray that You would bring to light any wounds, betrayals, or traumas that have left scars on his heart. Pour out Your love, comfort, and peace over him. Let him experience the truth of Your Word in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." Replace every lie of the enemy with Your truth. Let him know that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), loved unconditionally by You, and called for a purpose.

Father, we also lift up to You. Strengthen her as she stands in faith for her son. Give her patience, wisdom, and discernment as she supports him. Let her be a vessel of Your love and encouragement, pointing him to You in every situation. Remind her that her prayers are powerful and effective (James 5:16), and that You are working even when she cannot see it.

We also take a moment to address the foundation of our faith. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to You, Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If there is any doubt or uncertainty about this truth in the hearts of those reading this, we urge you to turn to Jesus. He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). Confess your sins, believe in Your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). This is the first and most important step in breaking every curse and walking in the freedom Christ died to give us.

Lord, we thank You for Your faithfulness. We thank You that You hear our prayers and that You are already at work in the lives of and her son. We trust You to complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6). May they walk in the fullness of Your blessings, protected by Your hand, and filled with Your peace. We ask all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

We hear how deeply you care for your son, carrying both the weight of spiritual battles and a longing for his physical and emotional healing. It’s clear you’re standing in the gap for him with fierce love, and we join you in that place.

When it comes to the curses you feel are against him, we rest in the simple truth that Jesus has already disarmed every spiritual power that stood against us. We don’t need to fight for victory; we pray from the victory He already secured. So we ask the Lord to break any lingering darkness that would trouble your son, silencing every voice that speaks guilt, shame, or destruction over his life. May the Holy Spirit fill every space that evil has tried to occupy.

For the weight loss, we understand the desire for him to be healthy and whole. Since genuine change can be complex, we’d gently encourage seeing a doctor or a registered dietitian, someone who can walk alongside him with medical wisdom. God gave us good helpers in these professionals, and it’s not a lack of faith to lean on their training while we pray.

And those past hurts, they often hang on tighter than we realize. Healing from them might mean finding a wise pastor, a trusted mentor, or a Christian counselor who can help him untangle those memories and invite Jesus into the wounded places. You’ve named the need; now we trust the Lord to guide him to the right people and seasons of restoration.

Jesus, we lift this son to You. By Your cross, silence every curse and stronghold that speaks against him. Grant him steady, safe progress toward physical health, and gently tend the hidden wounds he carries. Surround him with wise support, and let him taste the freedom You already bought for him. In Your name we pray.

The curse has been borne away for all who are in Christ Jesus, think not of breaking curses by any other means, for our deliverance from the curse is by a process similar to that by which slaves are set free, namely, by their being bought with a price. Christ was made a curse for us, and in Him every curse against His people was ended at the cross. Pray rather that the son would see this completed work and rest in it, for nobody would have thought of that way of deliverance from the pit through a ransom if God had not thought of it. God has not only invented a way of deliverance, but He has found a ransom, so it is a gift of divine love.

As for the weight and the wounds of the past, these are not separate issues but part of the same groaning for redemption. The leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue, even the little things, as it were, about Him. His wounds bring our healing; His death brings our life. Physical discipline and inner sorrows may be a sore chastening, but like a careful dispenser, He will not pour out a drop too little or too much. Pray that the Sun of Righteousness would rise with healing beneath His wings, for when Jesus healed the sick of the palsy, he said, "Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you", pardon and healing were one.

Therefore, do not merely plead for a slimmer frame or a lighter heart, but plead for Christ Himself to be formed in him, for deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from its guilt. Where we look for justification, there must we also look for sanctification. The joy of pardon makes us forget the reproach of the past, and the hope of glory strengthens us to declare the works of the Lord even now. Expect that one day he shall say, "I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord," for the Lord has chastened him sorely, but has not given him over unto death.

You come asking prayers to end curses, as though another’s ill wish could chain the soul whom God has blessed. Fear no such word, for the curse causeless shall not come. When men revile or wish evil, suffer it with thanksgiving, and what was meant for harm becomes a greater reward than if you had given away all your goods willingly. The devil cannot injure the one who clings to God; the loss becomes gain. Stand fast in this, and the curses are already broken, for they have no place to land.

As for your son’s weight and the wounds of the past, know this: the body’s excess is often the soul’s sickness made visible. What is needed is not merely a lighter frame but the healing of what drove him to seek comfort where it cannot be found. Bring him to the spiritual surgery of the Church, for here we heal the wounds received without. Let him hear the Word continually, and the desire that mastered him will weaken. But if he would lose weight, tell him not to do it for the eyes of men, nor to make a display of success. Even when Christ worked healings, He said, “Tell no man.” Let the body be tended for the health of the soul, and all done without noise or pride.

Yet the deeper past hurts are more stubborn. They bind the mind and darken it, making a man captive to lifeless memories, just as wealth makes a slave of its lover. This is the twofold mischief: it draws the heart from God and subjects it to a tyrant. Seek for him deliverance from all worldly things, not merely the outward habits but the inner resentments and sorrows. For if one part of virtue were enough for salvation, we might rest content; but there is required fortitude, a careful hearing, contempt of earthly attachments, and a continual recollection of the promises. The resurrection is not past; judgment is yet to come. Let him set his hope there, where no wound festers and no comfort fails. Then the body will obey, and the soul’s scars will become, in time, the soil of a fruitful humility.

The deep desire for deliverance from any curse spoken over your family shows you recognize that words carry weight far beyond what we often admit. Scripture records how the people of Israel stood in the valley between Mount Gerizim and Mount Ebal, hearing blessings shouted from one mountain and curses from the other. They responded "Amen" to every curse, acknowledging that breaking God's covenant would bring real consequences. Yet the same Word that warned of curses for disobedience also promised overflowing blessing for those who hearken diligently to the Lord. The power to bind or loose lies in God's own hand, not in the malice of others.

That is why a curse that has no cause will not land. If someone has spoken evil over you or your son out of their own bitterness or superstition, it cannot cling to those who put their trust in the Lord. The safest place in all the world is hidden in the shelter of the Most High. When David faced betrayal so deep that his wound bled into his prayers, he refused to take vengeance. He laid his hurt before God, confessed his own failings, and trusted the justice and mercy of the Judge of all the earth. No curse from man can stick to a soul that runs to that refuge.

So pray with confidence that these curses are ended, not because we shout them down in our own strength, but because Christ bore the curse of the law for us. He became a curse so that the blessing of Abraham might come upon those who believe. In Him, every curse is broken, and no voice from the enemy can nullify what God has spoken over your family. You can rest in that.

For your son, the weight issue and the past hurts are often tangled together. Job, in his misery, cried out that he wished the grave would bring rest from his trouble, yet he was looking at things he did not fully understand. Living in the horror of a past day only torments us and keeps us from the healing God offers now. The emotional wounds inflicted by others can take far longer to heal than a physical wound, especially when someone we trusted spoke smooth words while war raged in their heart. But holding onto that grief or letting it drive us to seek comfort in food only prolongs the pain.

Instead, bring those hurts to the Lord with absolute honesty, as David did when he said, "I acknowledge my transgressions." Confession and transparency with God are the road back. For your son, that means asking the Lord to reveal any patterns of thought or sin that may be weighing him down, and then humbling himself to turn from them. God's promise through Solomon still stands: if we, His people, humble ourselves, pray, seek His face, and turn from our wicked ways, He will hear from heaven, forgive our sin, and heal our land. Healing for the inner man often brings outward change in its wake.

Pray for your son to find his safety and satisfaction in the Lord, not in food or in nursing old wounds. Ask that God would give him the discipline to care for his body as a temple of the Holy Spirit, while trusting that true transformation flows from a heart at rest in Christ. The same God who cut off the chariot from Ephraim and the battle bow from Jerusalem speaks peace to the nations. He can speak peace to your son's past and give him a future filled with hope. Lean hard into that promise, and know that the judgment that matters most comes from the Lord, not from those who have spoken against you. In His presence is fullness of joy and safety from every snare.
