We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up and her son to the Lord, the breaker of every chain. Father God, we declare in the mighty name of Jesus that every curse, every generational stronghold, and every assignment of the enemy against this family is broken right now. The Word of God declares, "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree'" (Galatians 3:13). We stand on this truth and command every curse to be nullified by the power of the blood of Jesus.

Lord, we pray for ’s son, that You would grant him safe and healthy weight loss. May his body respond to godly discipline and self-control, which are fruits of Your Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). Strengthen him in mind, body, and spirit, and let his confidence come not from outward appearance but from the knowledge that he is fearfully and wonderfully made in Your image (Psalm 139:14). Guide him to make choices that honor You, whether in what he eats, how he moves, or how he thinks.

We also lift up the deep wounds of his past. Father, You are the God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). We ask that You would bring healing to every memory that has caused pain, every word that has brought shame, and every moment that has left a scar. Let Your love wash over him like a river, restoring joy where there has been sorrow and peace where there has been turmoil. Remind him that You have plans for him, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).

We rebuke any spirit of heaviness, depression, or self-hatred that may be lingering in his life. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that he might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that abundance over him, abundance of health, abundance of purpose, and abundance of Your presence.

Father, we also pray for , that You would strengthen her as a mother. Give her wisdom to speak life into her son, patience to walk with him through this journey, and faith to trust You even when the road is difficult. Let her home be a place of peace, love, and godly encouragement.

We seal this prayer with the blood of Jesus and declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). May they walk in the freedom that Christ has purchased for them, and may Your name be glorified in their lives. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We’re glad you reached out, and we’re joining you now in prayer for your son and yourself.

You asked for any curse to be ended. What a reassurance it is that no evil intent can stand against the authority of Jesus. We don’t need to fear words spoken against us, because Christ has already disarmed every spiritual power that would harm us. We simply agree with you in prayer, breaking every form of spiritual attack off your lives in His name, and asking the Lord to surround you both with His peace that passes understanding.

As for your son, we hear the love in your request, for his physical health and for healing from the hurts he’s carried. Carrying extra weight can sometimes be tangled up with deeper emotional wounds, and we pray God meets him in all of it. While we trust God for his healing, we also want to gently encourage that, if he hasn’t already, he see a doctor or a nutrition professional to guide any weight loss in a safe, steady way that cares for his body rather than punishing it.

More importantly, we pray for the past wounds you mentioned. Jesus is so tender with broken places. He doesn’t just skim over old pain; He steps right into it and brings real restoration, sometimes slowly, but always thoroughly. We ask that your son experiences that deep, inner healing where memories lose their sting and his heart is made whole again.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this mother and her son to You now. We speak against every curse, every evil assignment, and every oppressive spiritual weight, we break its power in Your name and declare that it has no hold on them. For this son, we ask for wisdom and self-control as he pursues physical health, and we pray You guide him to wise help. Most of all, we ask You to heal his heart. Touch the places that still ache, mend what feels broken, and let him know in his deepest self that he is safe and loved in You. Cover them both in Your protection and give them hope. Amen.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. The power of every curse is broken forever over those who are in Christ Jesus, for He has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us. The maledictions that once fell upon guilty heads are silenced by His precious blood; they cannot strike a soul sheltered beneath the cross. The Son of God has satisfied divine justice, and now no weapon formed against His people can prosper. Every curse is swallowed up in blessing, for the Lamb has borne the wrath and quenched the fire. The curse is ended, not because of any merit in us, but because the ransom has been found, and the Deliverer has come forth from the grave.

The healing that is sought for body and soul flows from the same pierced side. The leaves of the Tree of Life are for the healing of the nations, and even the least things about Christ carry restorative virtue. Weight loss that is safe and lasting, health that is sound, these temporal mercies are but whispers of the deeper healing: the pardoning word that removes the guilt of sin and the indwelling Spirit who breaks the power of old hurts. The past, with its sorrows and wounds, is not beyond His reach. The inhabitant shall not say, “I am sick” when the Sun of Righteousness arises with healing in His wings. Pardon and healing are one gift from the hand that was nailed for us. Look to Jesus, and as the brazen serpent lifted up brought life to the poisoned, so a look of faith brings healing to the memories that sting and the habits that bind.

The trials of the past were not random strokes but the chastening of a Father who loves with covenant faithfulness. Every tear has been measured; every burden weighed. And now, even the remembrance of former pain can become a well of praise, as we declare the works of the Lord. This son is not to die, but live, and recount the deliverance of God. The gracious hand that brings forth His people from Egypt also leads them day by day through the wilderness, providing manna for each need. Let the family gather at the throne of grace, naming this beloved child before the Lord, and watch how He makes the bitter past a place of healing springs.

The deliverance from the power of sin and its consequences is as much the work of God as deliverance from its guilt. Sanctification, the daily mortifying of the flesh and the renewal of the mind, comes from the same heavenly source. Cry to the Lord for the double cure: let the body be disciplined by temperance, led by the Spirit, and let the inner man be strengthened with might. The old wounds that festered in darkness can become scars of honor when bathed in the light of His countenance. The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses from all sin, and the love of Christ constrains us to live not for ourselves but for Him who died and rose again. Therefore, fear not, the Lord has heard, the ransom has been found, and He will bring forth His child into a spacious place, with a new song in the mouth, even praise to our God.

True deliverance from every curse is found only in Christ. He became Son of David so that you might become a son of God, redeeming you from the curse and bringing you into adoption. Therefore, do not let your prayers mix with curses against anyone. If some have spoken evil against you or your son, forgive them, for if you do not forgive, you will not be forgiven. Let no bitter word proceed from the mouth that partakes of the Lord's Body; revilers do not inherit the kingdom. Instead, let every prayer be with thanksgiving.

Concerning your son's weight, pray rather that he learn temperance and self-command, which are fruits of a soul freed from worldly things. What advantage is it to lose bodily weight if the heart remains soft and undisciplined? Seek first the healing of his past hurts, for these wounds of the soul weigh heavier than the flesh. Christ alone supplies deliverance from evil and promotion to every good. Do not expect miracles while forgetting past mercies; He has already shown power to heal many. The sure proof of love is hearing His commandments and doing them.

Pray then with a clean heart, not asking that curses return upon others, but that God's blessing guard your household. Put on Christ, walk in virtue without display, and the God who heals in secret will grant your son strength for both body and soul, making you both more than conquerors through Him who loves you.

No curse spoken against God's people can stand. When Balak hired Balaam to curse Israel, he thought money and sorcery could undo what God had already secured, but the Lord declared, “You shall not curse the people, for they are blessed.” Whatever words or intentions have been aimed at you and your son, they collapse under that same truth. You belong to the Lord. His blessing overrides every dark pronouncement.

And if any curse still echoes in your mind, remember the cross. The law pronounced a curse on everyone who fails to keep it perfectly, which includes all of us. But Christ became a curse for us. The crown of thorns pressed into His brow was the sign of the curse He was absorbing, the thorns and thistles of a fallen world digging into His own head so they would not ultimately pierce you. He hung on the tree to redeem you from every curse. That is finished.

For your son, the weight he carries, both in his body and in his heart, is something Jesus understands deeply. Healing often comes as we look less at the physical or emotional fix and more at the One who satisfies the thirst of our spirit. Diets and regimens have their place, but they cannot reach the wounds of the past or the hunger of the soul. Many chase emotional highs or material changes and find themselves empty again when the moment fades. The deeper thirst is for God Himself. Christ invites the weary to come and drink, not of an experience, but of Him. As your son brings his hurts to Jesus, he can find the kind of healing that touches body and spirit together, the kind that lets a person rise up and walk in newness.

Do not be afraid. God makes a way where there is no way, even through impossible knots of pain and bondage. The power that parted the sea for Israel can cut through what seems immovable. Trust Him for both deliverance and restoration.
