Deliverance

Pray all curses against ### and ###'s son are ended now. Pray for ###'s son to lose weight safely and healing from past hurts.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent cry for deliverance and healing. Father God, we declare that Your Word stands forever: "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree'" (Galatians 3:13 WEB). In the mighty name of Jesus, we break every curse spoken, inherited, or sent against ### and her son. Every chain of darkness, every generational bondage, every word of death or destruction, we command it to shatter now by the power of the blood of Jesus. The enemy has no authority here; we stand on the victory of the cross.

Lord, we pray for ###’s son, that You would touch his body with Your healing hand. You formed him in his mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13-14), and You know every struggle he faces. We ask for safe, steady weight loss, not by the world’s standards, but by Your wisdom and strength. Give him discipline to honor his body as Your temple (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and surround him with godly encouragement. Heal the wounds of his past, Father. Where there has been rejection, betrayal, or deep hurt, pour in Your perfect love that casts out fear (1 John 4:18). Let him know he is fearfully and wonderfully made, and that his identity is found in Christ alone.

We also rebuke any spirit of heaviness or despair that may be weighing on him. The Bible says, "The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly" (John 10:10 WEB). We declare that abundant life over him, spirit, soul, and body. Strengthen him in his inner man, Lord, that he may walk in the freedom Christ died to give him.

And Father, if ### or her son do not yet know You as Savior, we pray they would come to repentance and faith in Jesus. There is no deliverance, no healing, no true peace apart from Him. "For there is no other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12 WEB). Draw them to Yourself, Lord. Let them hear Your voice and respond with surrendered hearts.

We stand in agreement, believing that every curse is broken, every wound is healed, and every step forward is ordered by You. Thank You for Your faithfulness, Your power, and Your love. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, Amen.

We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, trusting that He knows every detail of his needs and is always at work for his good. The desire to see him free and whole, spiritually, emotionally, and physically, is one we carry with you.

For his physical health, we pray for wisdom and steady, sustainable progress. Sometimes the safest path forward includes partnering with a doctor or a nutritionist who can offer personalized guidance; there is no conflict between praying and seeking good counsel. Taking that step can be an act of stewardship over the body God has given him, and it can also relieve some of the pressure to figure it all out alone.

We also hold space for the deeper matter of his past hurts. Healing from old wounds often takes time and a safe place to unpack them. Alongside the prayers of family, a wise Christian counselor or a trusted pastor can sometimes help him untangle what still stings, without judgment or rush. It is not weakness to reach for that kind of support; it is a brave move toward freedom.

Most of all, we stand with you in asking that any spiritual weight or darkness pressing against him be broken in the authority of Jesus. Our hope is not in our own words, but in the One who has already won the victory.

Lord Jesus, we bring this son before You now. Release him from every snare and shadow, and let him breathe freely in Your love. Give him steady courage to care for his body, and gentle courage to face past pain so he can heal. Surround this whole family with peace and clear direction. In Your name we pray, amen.

The curse causeless shall not come; and every malediction that seems to hang over you and your son is already swallowed up in the all-sufficient curse-bearing of Christ Jesus. He was made a curse for us, for it is written, “Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree,” and He hath redeemed us from the curse of the law. Plead this finished work, and let no whisper of the accuser trouble your heart, for who shall lay anything to the charge of God’s elect? The Lord hath looked down from the height of His sanctuary; He hath heard the groaning of the prisoner, and with Him to hear is to answer.

Now, concerning the afflictions of body and the wounds of the soul that your son endures, remember that the hand which permits the trial is the hand of a Father who chasteneth in dear covenant love, not in penal wrath. It is not killing, but curing, that God means when He taketh the sharp lancet in His hands. All this shall work for good; the past hurts, the present struggle with the flesh, they are dealt in weight and measure by One who doth not afflict willingly. Cry mightily for the child, that the Lord would send forth His word and heal him, for Christ Himself is the Word whereby sin-sick souls are restored. There is a balm in Gilead, a Physician who bindeth up the broken-hearted, and He can soothe the memories that gnaw and the sorrows that have left their furrows. Let the lad be taught to pray with young Samuel, “Speak, Lord; for thy servant heareth,” and to look in simple faith to Him who was lifted up as Moses’ serpent in the wilderness, where there is life and healing for every bitten one.

For the ordering of his frame, you may humbly ask that the Lord would give him mastery over the appetites, and safely bring his body into subjection, for the temple of the Holy Ghost ought not to be defiled by sloth or intemperance. Yet remember that bodily exercise profiteth little; far rather seek that his soul may prosper and be in health. The deliverance you crave is of the Lord, from the power of darkness, from the pit of despair, and from every snare of the destroyer. He who hath begun this good work will complete it; you shall yet praise Him for the abundance of His mercy, and tell to the generation to come the praises of Jehovah, who hath answered the cry of His needy ones.
