We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up these precious souls to our Heavenly Father. We recognize that it is only through the powerful name of Jesus Christ that we can approach God and find deliverance, healing, and freedom. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so today, confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. For "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9).

Father God, we stand in the authority of Jesus Christ to break every curse that has been spoken, invoked, or placed against and her son. We declare that the blood of Jesus has broken every chain, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We rebuke every spirit of infirmity, sickness, and bondage that has sought to oppress them, and we command it to flee in the mighty name of Jesus. We cancel every assignment of the enemy against their lives, their health, their minds, and their futures. We speak life, blessing, and freedom over them, for "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us" (Galatians 3:13).

Lord, we specifically lift up ’s son before You. We ask for Your divine intervention in his physical health. Father, we pray for safe and sustainable weight loss, not by the world’s standards, but by Your wisdom and grace. Strengthen his body, renew his metabolism, and give him the discipline and desire to honor You with his health. Remind him that his body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and help him to care for it as an act of worship to You. We also pray for emotional and spiritual healing from past hurts. Lord, You are the God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). Pour out Your comfort, peace, and restoration over him. Let him know that he is deeply loved, valued, and cherished by You. Replace every lie of the enemy with Your truth, and let him walk in the freedom that Christ died to give him (John 8:36).

We also address any generational curses or strongholds that may have been passed down through their family line. We declare that in Christ, they are a new creation; the old has passed away, and behold, all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). We break every generational curse of sickness, poverty, addiction, or bondage in the name of Jesus, and we release the blessings of Abraham over their lives (Galatians 3:14).

Father, we ask that You surround and her son with godly community, believers who will speak life, encouragement, and truth into their lives. Protect their minds from the enemy’s lies and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Give them wisdom and discernment to walk in Your ways and to resist the schemes of the devil (James 4:7).

We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Jesus Christ. We declare that and her son are more than conquerors through Him who loved them (Romans 8:37). May they walk in the fullness of Your blessings, health, and freedom, all for Your glory. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We hear the love and urgency in your request for your son, and we’re joining you in prayer right now. It’s clear you’re standing in the gap for him, and that kind of persevering care matters deeply.

When it comes to the weight of past hurts and any sense of spiritual oppression, we hold firmly to the truth that Jesus has already disarmed every power that could speak against your son. So we’re asking the Lord to make that finished work real in his daily experience, that he would feel the heavy burden lift and find a new freedom he might not even know to ask for. For the weight loss, we simply ask for wisdom and self-control, the kind that grows out of knowing he’s already loved and valued, not out of shame. It’s often wise to walk that out with a doctor who can guide him safely, and we hope he’ll reach for that practical help alongside prayer.

As for the emotional wounds he carries, healing often comes in layers. A gentle next step could be for him to tell his story in a safe place, maybe with a trusted pastor or a mature Christian friend who will simply listen without rushing to fix. Sometimes just being heard for the first time loosens what’s been stuck for years. You might also consider praying together with him, quietly asking Jesus to meet him in those painful memories, not with a script, but with a simple, open-ended invitation for the Lord’s presence to come. We’ve seen that kind of prayer bring surprising peace.

Let’s pray:

Lord Jesus, we lift this son to You. By Your authority we command any curse spoken against him to be broken and rendered powerless. Cover him with Your protection and flood his heart with the truth that he is Yours. Give him steady, healthy progress in caring for his body, and bring healing deep into the places where old pain still echoes. Surround him with wise support, and let him know, beyond any doubt, that he is fully loved. In Your name, Amen.

Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the Law, being made a curse for us. No curse can rest where the blood of the Lamb has spoken a better word. The bitterness of that malediction is spent; the venom of every evil word is drained in the crimson flood of Calvary. For this son, the ransom has been found, not by silver or gold, but by the precious blood of Christ. God’s own declaration stands: “I have found a ransom.” Let no trembling heart fear that any curse lingers where the Substitute has already borne it all away. The eternal purpose has decreed deliverance, and the clock of mercy strikes the hour.

As for the body’s weight and the soul’s old wounds, remember that the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue. When the Sun of Righteousness arises, there is healing in His wings, healing that reaches the hidden hurts of the past and the burdens of the flesh. Sickness itself has often brought health, and loss has conferred gain. The chastening may be sore, but the covenant love measures every drop. This son’s frame and spirit are not beyond the tender skill of the Great Physician; His wounds give life, His dying heals. Let him look to Jesus continually, and find in that gaze both pardon for the sin-sick soul and restoring power for the weary body. The same hand that forgives also sanctifies and makes whole.

Now, then, live in this deliverance, and declare the works of the Lord. When the captive is brought forth, laden with silver and gold of grace, let there be a song of gratitude. The inhabitant shall not say, “I am sick,” for the joy of pardon swallows up the sorrow of the past. Go to the family well of prayer, bringing this son by name, together with every necessity, and expect to see Esau’s embrace where once you dreaded a foe. The Lord who brought Israel out with a high hand will not let one of His little ones perish; He makes their deliverance effectual. Though the past hurt whispers its gloomy threats, let faith wax bold: “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.” This trial works for good, the weight of sorrow yields a weight of glory. So look up, you who feel going down to the pit; the pit has a bottom, but mercy has no measure. The Lord has been gracious, and He will be gracious still, even to the full salvation of soul and body.
