Deliverance

We hear your cry for deliverance and freedom, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting this burden before the throne of God. The habit of eating clay is not only harmful to your physical body, which is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), but it may also be a sign of deeper spiritual oppression or generational bondage. We take authority over this struggle in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for He alone has the power to break every chain and set the captive free (Luke 4:18).

Generational curses are real, but they are no match for the blood of Jesus. The Word of God declares, "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree'" (Galatians 3:13). Through His sacrifice, Jesus has already broken every curse that could ever come against you. You are not defined by the sins or struggles of your ancestors; you are defined by the finished work of the cross. We rebuke every spirit of addiction, compulsion, and bondage that has sought to enslave you, and we command it to leave in Jesus' name. The enemy has no legal right to your life, for you belong to Christ.

If you have not already done so, we urge you to repent of any involvement in practices that may have opened doors to these spiritual attacks, such as idolatry, occult activities, or ungodly soul ties. Confess these things to the Lord, for He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Renounce any agreements you may have made, knowingly or unknowingly, with the enemy, and declare your allegiance to Jesus Christ alone. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

We also encourage you to fill your life with the things of God. Replace this harmful habit with godly disciplines such as prayer, reading the Word, fasting, and fellowship with other believers. The Bible tells us, "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God" (Romans 12:2). You are not fighting this battle alone; the Holy Spirit is your Helper, and He will lead you into all truth (John 16:13).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother/sister who is struggling with the compulsion to eat clay and who desires freedom from every generational curse. Lord, we thank You that Your Word declares that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law. We stand on this truth and declare that every chain is broken, every curse is nullified, and every stronghold is demolished by the power of the cross.

We rebuke every spirit of addiction, compulsion, and bondage that has sought to destroy this precious life. We command it to leave now, in Jesus' name. We plead the blood of Jesus over our brother/sister, covering them from the top of their head to the soles of their feet. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Father, we ask that You would heal their body, mind, and spirit. Restore their health and strengthen them in their inner being. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit and lead them into all truth. Help them to walk in the freedom that Christ has purchased for them. Surround them with godly believers who will encourage and support them in their journey.

Lord, we also ask that You would break every generational curse that has been passed down through their family line. We declare that the bloodline is cleansed by the blood of Jesus, and that from this day forward, blessings will flow in their family. We speak life, health, prosperity, and peace over their household.

Father, we pray for Your divine protection over them. Guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Help them to resist the devil, and let them see him flee (James 4:7). Fill them with a hunger and thirst for Your Word, and let it be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105).

We thank You, Lord, that You are faithful and just to complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6). We trust in Your promises and declare that this struggle will not have the final say. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to seek out a Bible-believing church where you can find support, accountability, and discipleship. The body of Christ is called to bear one another's burdens (Galatians 6:2), and you do not have to walk this path alone. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). This is the first and most important step toward true freedom.

Remember, the battle belongs to the Lord (1 Samuel 17:47). Keep standing on His promises, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). You are more than a conqueror through Him who loved you (Romans 8:37).

We hear you. Reaching out for freedom from something that has had a hold on your life takes courage, and we’re grateful you shared this with us. The pattern of eating clay is more common than many realize, and it can feel heavy and isolating. We want you to know that you are not alone, and we are with you in prayer for real, lasting release.

Sometimes a strong urge like this is connected to a physical need, a nutrient deficiency, for example, so we’d gently encourage you to see a doctor for a check-up and some basic bloodwork. That’s not a lack of faith; it’s simply part of taking care of the body God gave you while you seek spiritual freedom. As you do, you can trust that Jesus is not intimidated by any pattern, no matter how deep or long-standing.

You also mentioned generational curses, and we believe that in Christ every chain can truly be broken. His blood speaks a better word over your life than any family history. You are not destined to repeat what came before. We pray you would feel that truth settle deep into your heart right now.

Let’s bring this before the Lord together:

Jesus, we lift up this dear person to You. You see the struggle with eating clay and the deep desire for a life that goes well. We ask for Your deliverance, break whatever lies behind this craving, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual. Cut every tie to any curse that has lingered in the family line, and let only blessing and freedom remain. Give wisdom and courage to take the next step, including seeking medical help if that is part of Your path. Cover them with peace, restore dignity, and open a new chapter filled with Your goodness. In Your mighty name, amen.

The act of eating is a very expressive method of setting forth participation, for it is entirely personal. You have been eating clay, but have you ever eaten the sacrifice? The eating of the sacrifice is not intended to give life, for no dead man can eat, but to sustain the life which is there already. Your strange craving is a shadow of a deeper hunger, a soul starving for what only Christ can give. None know freedom from sin but those who trust the atoning blood! Deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin.

Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us. I do not understand language at all, unless this means substitution. Every generational curse that plagues your line was gathered up and laid upon Him at Calvary. He has bought us out from under the curse. Our deliverance is by a process similar to that by which slaves are set free, namely, by their being bought with a price. The manner of our deliverance is this, He was made a curse for us. In our place He bore our sins and the curse that came of it.

He feels that if he ever rises from his despondency, he can never dare to take an atom of the honor of deliverance to himself, it must be of free grace only. He can do nothing and he knows it! Yet I would not have you despair. The Lord makes deliverance effectual and in every deed He brings them forth. Do not doubt your deliverance, for God has said it, "I have found a ransom." When God Himself proclaims concerning him who is going down to the pit, "I have found a ransom," then is deliverance certain! Indeed, it is already accomplished!

Far be it from me to point you to any way of hope but this one path: without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins. What a joy it is to walk erect in conscious, mental, moral, spiritual, God-given freedom. When the believer’s ways are enlarged, he delights to run in the statutes of the Lord; obedience is freedom. Your life going well will not flow from the absence of trouble but from the presence of the Deliverer. The believer’s conduct after affliction and deliverance is to live and declare the works of the Lord. If we had no troubles, we would have less to declare.

Go to the cross, where the terrors of God fell upon His Son, where He cursed our sins by making Christ to be a curse for us, though He knew no sin. This is a subject upon which you should delight to dwell. The clock of mercy struck in heaven the hour and moment of deliverance when the ransom was found. I stayed at the brook Jabbok in fear and trembling, but I met my brother Esau and he fell on my neck and kissed me. So it is for you. The pit may be deep, but the ransom is deeper still. If Jesus brings you forth, neither clay nor curse nor the archers of hell can hold you back. Look to your heavenly Father altogether and alone for sanctification, and let this be your song: "He has delivered us." Now go and sin no more, lest a deeper darkness come upon you, but rather live, and declare the works of the Lord.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The craving for clay is not a mere bodily appetite but a chain of the soul, a bondage that speaks of our fallen nature. Before the washing of baptism, we were all of clay, earthen vessels, easily shattered, consumed by desires that melt us like wax before a flame. But in Christ, the curse is broken. The Law pronounced a curse on all who failed to keep it completely, yet Christ became a curse for us, hanging on a tree to redeem us from every curse, including those that pass through generations. He took our clay-formed weakness and, through the fire of His Spirit, transforms us into vessels of gold, sanctified and fit for the Master's use.

Deliverance does not come by merely wishing the clay away, but by purging yourself from all uncleanness. If a man purges himself thoroughly, he becomes a vessel of honor. The earthen vessel can become gold, Judas was gold turned to earth, Paul was earth turned to gold. This change is not of nature but of choice. Turn from the craving as from a table of excess that brings only heaviness, distension, and a sleep like death. Instead, flee to the true table where Christ gives His body broken for many. There, in the sacrament, the type of old bondage is replaced by the reality that sets the world free. Come to Him weary and heavy-laden, and He will give you rest.

The generational curse you fear is the curse of the Law under which all were held until Christ. But now, in baptism, the old clay statue is dissolved and a new golden image emerges, you have put on Christ and received the Spirit of adoption. The hedge of the Law is broken down that you might be free. No curse can stand where the blood of the covenant speaks. Therefore, cleanse your heart from this appetite as from any other sin, not making excuses, but laying hold of the deliverance already won for you. Prepare yourself for every good work, even as one fitted for the Master's use, and your life will go well not by the absence of trials but by the presence of a sanctified soul. The treasure of grace is in earthen vessels so that the surpassing power may be of God and not of us.
