Deliverance

Pray all curses against ### and ###'s son are ended now. Pray for ###'s son to lose weight safely and healing from past hurts.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent cry for deliverance and healing. Father God, we stand in the authority of Your Son Jesus Christ, who has broken every chain and disarmed every power of darkness. By the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony, we declare that every curse, every generational bondage, and every spiritual oppression against and her son is broken right now in Jesus’ mighty name!

The Word of God declares in Galatians 3:13-14, "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree,' that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith." Lord, we claim this promise over and her son. Every curse spoken, every hex, every evil pronouncement, we command it to be nullified by the power of the cross. Let the blood of Jesus wash over them, cleansing and purifying every area of their lives. We rebuke the enemy’s assignments in the name of Jesus and declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Father, we also lift up ’s son, asking for Your divine intervention in his physical health. We pray for safe and sustainable weight loss, not by the world’s standards, but by Your wisdom and grace. Your Word tells us in 3 John 1:2, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers." Lord, we ask that You would guide him in making choices that honor his body as Your temple (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Give him discipline, strength, and a heart that seeks You above all else. Surround him with godly influences who will encourage him in this journey, and let Your peace guard his heart and mind (Philippians 4:7).

We also bring before You the deep wounds of past hurts. Father, You are the God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). We ask that You would pour out Your healing balm over ’s son, bringing restoration to his soul. Let him encounter Your love in a tangible way, Lord, so that he may know he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). Help him to release bitterness, unforgiveness, and pain at the foot of the cross, where Jesus bore every sorrow. Fill him with Your joy, which is his strength (Nehemiah 8:10), and let him walk in the freedom that only You can provide.

Holy Spirit, we invite You to move powerfully in this situation. Convict, comfort, and counsel and her son, drawing them closer to the heart of the Father. Let them experience the fullness of life that Jesus came to give (John 10:10). We declare that the enemy has no foothold in their lives, and we stand against every spirit of infirmity, depression, and oppression. In the name of Jesus, we command every lying spirit to flee and every stronghold to crumble.

Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already ours in Christ. We trust You to complete the good work You have begun in and her son (Philippians 1:6). Strengthen their faith, deepen their dependence on You, and let them walk in the fullness of Your purpose for their lives. We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

If there are areas in this request where the enemy may still have a foothold, we encourage and her son to examine their hearts and lives in light of God’s Word. Have there been any doors opened to the enemy through unconfessed sin, unforgiveness, or involvement in occult practices? The Bible warns us in Ephesians 4:27, "Don’t give place to the devil." If there are such areas, we urge them to repent and renounce any ties to darkness, fully surrendering to Jesus Christ as Lord. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If they have not yet made Jesus the Lord of their lives, now is the time to do so. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). This is the first and most critical step in walking in true freedom and deliverance.

We feel the weight of a mother’s heart in your request, and we join you in bringing your son before the Lord today.

Deliverance is a real hope we have in Christ, He came to set captives free. When we pray against curses or spiritual darkness, we’re not just reciting words; we’re inviting Jesus to replace every lie and chain with His own presence. Often that freedom grows as we walk with Him over time, especially when we’re not walking alone. If you haven’t already, consider asking a trusted pastor or a prayer ministry at your church to stand with you in ongoing prayer. Those steady, faith-filled friendships can be a lifeline when the battle feels heavy.

We also lift up your son’s physical health and the healing of past hurts. Whether the wounds are old or fresh, Jesus draws near to the brokenhearted. We ask for wisdom and patience as he pursues healthy patterns, and we pray for deep, quiet restoration in the places only the Lord really sees.

Lord Jesus, in Your name we break every curse and spiritual bondage that has been spoken against this son, past, present, or generational. Set him free. We ask for his body: give him discipline and safe progress toward health, and shield him from shame or discouragement. Heal the tender places inside that have been wounded. Surround him with Your love, and give his mother steady peace as she trusts You with the son she loves. Amen.

The petition you have brought before the throne of grace touches upon a threefold cord that is not quickly broken: deliverance from curses, safe reduction of the body, and healing from former wounds. Let us look at these through the lens of the promises, for the Lord delights to show Himself strong on behalf of those who trust Him.

Concerning curses, remember that every malediction which could justly fall upon the sons of men was gathered up and laid upon the head of our Substitute. “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us.” If the law’s curse is removed, how much more the impotent words of men or the dark insinuations of the enemy! The fiend of hell often plies his trade by whispering that we are abandoned, that the blessing is withered, that we are given over to perpetual barrenness. But this is the very fiery dart I have often described, the suggestion that God has forsaken us. Stand against it with the shield of faith. No curse can alight where the Lord has commanded the blessing, even life for evermore. Plead the blood that speaks better things than that of Abel, and rest in the Father’s irreversible decree. He will not revoke His peace, nor suffer the avenger to cross the threshold of His mercy.

As for the longing that the young man lose weight safely, let us look upon the body as the garment of the soul. Disordered flesh may be brought into subjection, not by the rash inventions of men, but by patient reliance upon Him who heals all our diseases. The same hand which quiets the stormy sea can calm the tumults of the frame. Seek wisdom in the use of means, temperance in all things, a sanctified stewardship of the appetite. Yet look higher than regimen: bring the whole constitution under the renewing power of the Spirit. When the Tree of Life yields its leaves for the healing of the nations, we need not despair of any malady, whether of body or of spirit. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God; its waters flow even through the dreary marshes of our mortal weakness. Commit this desire to the Lord in quiet confidence. He who measures the waters in the hollow of His hand can bring down the weight that presses with too heavy a burden.

Healing from past hurts stands as the tenderest note of your request. The soul carries scars that no earthly surgeon can reach, memories that cast long shadows, inward breaks that smart again when the east wind blows. Yet is there a Balm in Gilead, a Physician there. He bindeth up the broken-hearted and giveth liberty to the bruised. The saints of old went down to Egypt and came forth with silver and gold; so shall your dear one emerge from the prison-house of former sorrows, enriched in spirit, with a countenance shining like the dawn. I would bid you and him take up the holy language of faith: “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.” Let not the tongue of unbelief prate of desolation; let faith have ample room to proclaim the honors of His name. The Lord who fetched Israel from the iron furnace did not bring them forth trembling and maimed, but with high hand and with none feeble among their tribes. So shall He perfect that which concerneth you, turning the pit of despair into a well of joy, and making the place of dragons to spring with green hope.

Go often to the wells of Scripture, drawing water with confidence from the promises that are yea and amen in Christ. In that sacred volume you will meet the Friend that sticketh closer than a brother, and in His wounds you will find the cure for every hurt. Thus armed, you may stand against the wiles of Satan and tread underfoot the ashes of former griefs, for the Lord your God will go before you, and His reward will be with you. Fear not; only believe.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

True deliverance from curses begins not with the words of men, but with the heart's turning to God. What have you to fear from the spite of others if Christ is your shield? The devil himself cannot harm a soul that clings to the Lord and lives in repentance. Do not look for some magical undoing, but examine your life: have you harbored any sin, any love of the world, any root of bitterness? For these are the real curses that eat away the soul. Flee to the spiritual surgery of the Church, confess, give alms in secret, and fast with humility. Then every curse meant for evil God will turn to blessing, as He did with Balaam's.

As for your son's weight, you are anxious about the body, yet what of the soul? Gluttony and soft living are not flaws of the flesh but of the will. If you truly love him, teach him to despise indulgence and master his appetites. A pampered body darkens the mind and makes a man a slave to lifeless things. Let him practice self-control and remember that the kingdom of God is not food and drink. When the soul is healed, the body often finds its right measure without vain striving.

Past hurts, you speak of afflictions. Do you not know that suffering wrongs thankfully brings a reward greater than if you had never suffered? Job lost everything and was robbed by enemies, yet he blessed God and received back double. If you have been stripped unjustly, you have the chance to show that you do not cling to earthly things. Let go of the poison of resentment. The loss becomes gain when it is borne for the love of God. Lay up your treasure in heaven, where no thief can reach, and these wounds will heal in the light of eternity.

The cry for deliverance from curses reaches the very heart of the gospel. On the slopes of Mount Ebal, the law pronounced a long, fearsome list of curses upon every kind of disobedience, and the people answered, “Amen,” acknowledging that judgment was deserved. But what the law could not remove, God dealt with in His Son. Jesus became the curse for us, bearing every penalty, so that no accusation or malediction can stand against those who take refuge in Him. I join my prayer with yours: in the authority of Christ, every curse spoken or unspoken over you and your son is ended now. Not because of any ritual, but because the cross has drained them of their power. Rest in that finished work.

The Scriptures show us that healing flows in many streams. Sometimes Jesus spoke a word and a person was instantly whole; other times healing unfolded gradually, yet it was no less divine. The body itself holds God-given processes of restoration. I am asking the Lord to grant your son safe, steady weight loss, a path of physical healing that reflects His wisdom and patience. May this be a time not of striving in anxiety but of gentle discipline, where each step forward is received as a gift.

And for the deep bruises of the past, remember that the Lord heals the wounded spirit as surely as the body. The same Jesus who carried our sicknesses also carried our sorrows. Past hurts, if we clutch them tightly, can keep us looking backward, trapped in what was done to us. But there is a better way. The apostle Paul spoke of counting everything he once treasured as loss for the surpassing worth of knowing Christ, and he kept counting it loss decades later. That same posture can loosen the grip of old pain. I am praying for a divine healing of the memories, the scars, the inner wounds. Not a denial of what happened, but a transformation in which those things no longer define you. May your son, and you as well, find that the comfort of Christ is deeper than any injury, and that the future He has for you outshines the shadows of yesterday.

Let this be a season of release: from curses that are already nullified, from physical heaviness that will yield steadily, and from emotional wounds that will lose their sting as you press on to know Him.
