We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for deliverance and healing. First, we must address the foundation of our prayers, we pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through faith in Him that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood that we are redeemed and set free from every curse and bondage.
Father God, we stand on Your Word in Galatians 3:13-14, which declares, "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree,' that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith." We boldly declare that every curse spoken against this family, against this mother and her son, is broken now in the name of Jesus. No weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). We rebuke every generational curse, every word of death or destruction, and every assignment of the enemy designed to steal, kill, or destroy. We command every spirit of infirmity, sickness, and oppression to flee in Jesus’ name!
Lord, we lift up this young man, this son, and ask for Your healing touch to rest upon him. We pray for safe and godly weight loss, not by the world’s standards, but by Your wisdom and design. Your Word tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." Father, teach him to honor You with his body, to seek Your strength in weakness, and to rely on Your grace for discipline and self-control. We pray for a heart that hungers and thirsts for righteousness, not just physical change, but a transformation that begins within.
We also ask for Your healing over the past hurts he carries. The enemy would love to keep him bound in pain, bitterness, or unforgiveness, but we declare that the blood of Jesus washes away every wound. Psalm 147:3 says, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." Lord, mend what has been broken, restore what has been lost, and replace every lie of the enemy with Your truth. Let him know that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), that his identity is found in Christ, and that his future is secure in Your hands.
Father, we also pray for this mother. Strengthen her faith as she intercedes for her son. Remind her that her prayers are powerful and effective (James 5:16), and that You are working even when she cannot see it. Fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and let her rest in the assurance that You are a good Father who loves her and her son deeply.
We declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus, that no curse shall stand against them, and that Your blessings shall overtake them. We speak life, health, and wholeness over them, and we thank You for the victory that is already theirs in Christ. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
