We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for deliverance and healing. First and foremost, we must acknowledge that our authority to pray and see breakthrough comes only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or set free (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so today, confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be Lord of your life. Without Christ, there is no true deliverance or lasting healing.
Father God, in the mighty name of Jesus, we stand against every curse that has been spoken, invoked, or sent against this family. The Bible declares that Christ became a curse for us so that we might be redeemed (Galatians 3:13). We break every chain, every generational curse, and every assignment of the enemy over their lives. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we cancel every word, spell, or incantation that has been uttered in darkness. We command every evil spirit operating under these curses to flee now in Jesus’ name!
Lord, we lift up this young man, this son, before You. We pray for his physical health, asking that You would guide him into safe and sustainable weight loss. Give him discipline, wisdom in his choices, and a desire to honor his body as Your temple (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Protect his heart, mind, and metabolism as he seeks to make changes, and surround him with godly influences who will encourage him in this journey.
But Father, we know that healing must go deeper than the physical. We ask that You would minister to the wounds of his past, every hurt, rejection, or trauma that has left a mark on his soul. Pour out Your healing balm, Lord. Let him know that You are near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18) and that in You, he is fully known, fully loved, and fully accepted. Replace every lie he has believed about himself with Your truth. Remind him that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that his worth is found in You alone.
We also rebuke any spirit of gluttony, addiction, or emotional eating that may be at work in his life. The enemy seeks to destroy through excess, but we declare that this young man is set free by the blood of Jesus (John 8:36). We pray for a renewed mind (Romans 12:2), that he would no longer be conformed to the patterns of this world but transformed by Your Word and Your Spirit.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would draw this family closer to You. Let their home be a place of peace, prayer, and Your presence. Surround them with a community of believers who will stand with them, encourage them, and hold them accountable. May they walk in the freedom Christ died to give them, and may their lives be a testimony to Your power and grace.
We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Deliverer, Healer, and Lord. Amen.
