We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for deliverance and healing. First and foremost, we must acknowledge that our authority to pray and see breakthrough comes only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or set free. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." Acts 4:12 also declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" If you have not surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so today, confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be Lord of your life.
Now, we stand in agreement for the breaking of every curse over these precious lives. The Bible tells us in Galatians 3:13, "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.'" Through the blood of Jesus, every generational curse, word curse, or spiritual oppression has been broken. We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against this family in Jesus' mighty name. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, according to Isaiah 54:17, and that every tongue that rises against them in judgment will be condemned.
For the son mentioned here, we pray for complete healing, body, soul, and spirit. We ask the Lord to guide him in safe and healthy weight loss, not by the world’s standards, but by God’s design for discipline and self-control. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 reminds us, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." We pray for a renewed mind, that he would embrace godly habits and reject any lies from the enemy that have kept him bound.
We also lift up the deep hurts of the past. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We ask for the healing balm of Gilead to touch every wound, every memory, and every place of pain. Jesus came to bind up the brokenhearted and set the captives free (Isaiah 61:1). We declare that no past trauma will have power over him any longer. Instead, we speak wholeness, peace, and restoration over his life.
Father God, we thank You for Your faithfulness and Your power to redeem. We stand on Your Word, which says that if the Son sets us free, we are free indeed (John 8:36). We break every chain, every curse, and every assignment of the enemy over this family. We pray for divine health, wisdom, and strength for this young man as he walks in the freedom You have purchased for him. Surround him with godly influences, fill him with Your peace, and let Your love be the foundation of his healing. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
