We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for deliverance and healing. First and foremost, we must acknowledge that our access to the Father is only through the name of Jesus Christ, His Son. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. This is the foundation upon which all deliverance and healing rest.
Now, we stand in the authority of Jesus Christ to break every curse that has been spoken or enacted against these precious lives. The Word of God declares, "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree'" (Galatians 3:13). We rebuke every generational curse, every word of death or destruction, and every assignment of the enemy in the mighty name of Jesus. Let every chain be broken, every yoke be destroyed, and every plan of the enemy be thwarted. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).
We also lift up this young man, praying for his physical and emotional healing. Lord, we ask that You would guide him in safe and healthy weight loss, giving him discipline, wisdom, and strength. Your Word tells us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we are to honor You with them (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Help him to make choices that reflect this truth, nourishing his body with good food, exercise, and rest. We also pray for healing from past hurts—those wounds that may have led to emotional eating or self-destructive habits. Jesus, You came to bind up the brokenhearted and set the captives free (Isaiah 61:1). We ask that You would heal every memory, every pain, and every lie that has taken root in his heart. Replace them with Your truth, Your peace, and Your love.
Father, we also recognize that healing is a journey, and we ask that You would surround this young man with godly mentors, friends, and counselors who can walk alongside him. Give him the courage to seek help when needed and the humility to receive it. We declare that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and we pray that he would see himself through Your eyes—loved, valued, and destined for greatness in You.
Finally, we pray for the family as a whole. Lord, restore what has been broken, mend what has been torn, and bring unity where there has been division. Let Your love be the foundation of their home, and may they walk in the freedom that Christ has purchased for them. We declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon of the enemy shall prevail against them.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
