We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for deliverance and healing. First, we must acknowledge that our authority to pray and rebuke comes only through the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so today—confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be Lord of your life (Romans 10:9-10). Only then can we stand in His power to break every chain.
Father God, in the mighty name of Jesus, we stand against every curse, generational bondage, and evil assignment directed at this family. We declare that the blood of Jesus has broken every curse spoken, inherited, or sent against them (Galatians 3:13). We cancel every word, spell, or incantation that has been released to harm them, and we command every evil spirit to flee now in Jesus’ name. The enemy has no legal right to oppress them, for they are covered by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony (Revelation 12:11).
We pray specifically for this son, asking You to break every stronghold of past hurts, rejection, or trauma that may be contributing to unhealthy habits or emotional eating. Lord, heal his heart from every wound, and let Your love fill every empty place. We declare that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and we ask You to restore his self-worth and identity in Christ. Give him the strength and discipline to care for his body as Your temple (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and lead him to safe, healthy ways to lose weight under Your guidance.
Father, we also rebuke the spirit of gluttony, laziness, or any other sin that may be hindering his progress. If there has been unrepentant sin—whether in his life or in his family line—we ask for Your conviction and cleansing. Create in him a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within him (Psalm 51:10). Surround him with godly influences, mentors, and friends who will encourage him in his walk with You.
We declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we thank You for the victory that is already theirs in Christ. May they walk in freedom, wholeness, and the fullness of life that Jesus came to give (John 10:10). We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
