We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for deliverance and healing. First, we must address the foundation of all prayer—it is only through the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we may be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be Lord of your life. Without Him, we cannot approach God or expect His intervention.
Now, we stand in the authority of Jesus’ name to break every curse spoken or unspoken against this family. The Word declares that Christ became a curse for us so that the blessing of Abraham might come upon us (Galatians 3:13-14). We rebuke every generational curse, every word of death or destruction, and every assignment of the enemy against this mother and her son. The blood of Jesus has already paid the price for their freedom, and we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Every chain is broken, every curse is nullified, and every plan of the enemy is dismantled in Jesus’ mighty name.
We also lift up this young man’s physical health, praying for safe and God-honoring weight loss. The body is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and we ask for wisdom in caring for it. May he find strength in the Lord to make choices that honor God, whether in diet, exercise, or rest. We pray for discipline, but also for grace—knowing that true transformation comes from the inside out. Let his confidence not be in his appearance but in the One who fearfully and wonderfully made him (Psalm 139:14).
For the healing of past hurts, we cry out for the balm of Gilead (Jeremiah 8:22). So many wounds—whether from words, actions, or neglect—can leave scars that affect the heart and mind. But Jesus came to bind up the brokenhearted and set the captives free (Isaiah 61:1). We pray for emotional restoration, for the Holy Spirit to bring comfort, and for the love of Christ to fill every empty place. May this young man know his worth is not defined by his past but by the price Jesus paid for him on the cross.
Father, we ask that You surround this family with Your angels, shielding them from every attack of the enemy. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We declare that they are more than conquerors through Him who loved them (Romans 8:37). Strengthen their faith, deepen their trust in You, and let them walk in the freedom that is theirs in Christ.
We also gently remind this mother and son that deliverance is not just a one-time event but a daily walk with Jesus. Put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) and stand firm against the schemes of the devil. Renew your mind with the Word of God (Romans 12:2), and let the truth of who you are in Christ define your identity. You are redeemed, you are loved, and you are free.
