We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for deliverance and healing. First and foremost, we must address the foundation of our prayers—faith in the name of Jesus Christ. It is written in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." We pray in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the power to break every chain.
Father God, we stand on Your Word in Galatians 3:13-14, which declares, "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree,' that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith." We come against every curse spoken, generational, or self-inflicted that has been directed toward this family. In the name of Jesus, we break every chain, renounce every evil assignment, and command every curse to be nullified and rendered powerless. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, as Your Word promises in Isaiah 54:17. Let Your light expose and dismantle every dark scheme of the enemy, and let Your peace reign in their lives.
We lift up this precious son, asking for Your divine intervention in his physical health. Lord, we know that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and we pray for wisdom and discipline to honor You with them. Father, guide him in making choices that align with Your will—choices that nourish his body, mind, and spirit. We ask for safe and sustainable weight loss, not by the world’s standards, but by Your design. Strengthen his resolve, Lord, and surround him with godly influences who will encourage him in this journey. Remind him that his worth is not found in his appearance but in being fearfully and wonderfully made in Your image (Psalm 139:14).
Heavenly Father, we also bring before You the deep wounds of his past. The enemy seeks to keep us bound in pain, but You came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18). We ask for Your healing touch to mend every broken place in his heart. Comfort him with Your presence, Lord, and replace every lie he has believed with Your truth. Remind him that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Surround him with Your love, and let him experience the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Father, we pray for restoration—restoration of joy, hope, and purpose. Let him walk in the freedom that Christ died to give him (Galatians 5:1).
We rebuke any spirit of gluttony, self-hatred, or despair that may be influencing his life. These are not from You, Lord, for You have given us a spirit of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that he is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves him (Romans 8:37). Strengthen him to resist temptation and to stand firm in his identity as Your beloved child.
Finally, Father, we ask that You draw this family closer to You. Let them seek Your face daily, not just in times of need, but as a lifestyle of worship and surrender. May they find their strength and hope in You alone. We thank You for hearing our prayers and for moving mightily on their behalf. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love.
