Deliverance

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for deliverance and healing. First and foremost, we must address the foundation of our prayers—it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we may be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to confess Him as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for it is with the heart that one believes and is justified, and with the mouth that one confesses and is saved (Romans 10:9-10).

Now, we stand in the authority of Jesus Christ to break every curse spoken against these precious lives. The Word of God declares that Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us (Galatians 3:13). We rebuke every generational curse, every word spoken in anger or bitterness, and every spiritual oppression that has taken hold. In the name of Jesus, we command these curses to be broken and rendered powerless. The Lord is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).

We also lift up this young man who is struggling with his weight and carrying the weight of past hurts. Father, we ask that You would grant him the strength and discipline to care for his body, which is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Guide him in making wise choices for his health, and surround him with godly influences who will encourage him in this journey. May he find comfort and healing in Your presence, for You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We declare that the chains of past pain are broken, and he is set free by the blood of Jesus.

Lord, we pray for a spirit of wisdom and revelation to rest upon him, that he may know the hope to which You have called him (Ephesians 1:17-18). Heal his heart from every wound, and replace his sorrow with the joy of Your salvation (Psalm 51:12). Let him walk in the freedom that Christ has purchased for him, no longer bound by the lies of the enemy or the weight of his past.

We also pray for godly mentors and friends to come into his life—men who will speak truth, walk in integrity, and point him toward You. May he grow in his relationship with Jesus, finding his identity and worth in Him alone. Father, we ask that You would draw him closer to You, that he may experience the fullness of life that You offer (John 10:10).

In Jesus’ mighty name, we declare these prayers answered. We stand on Your promises, knowing that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in him (Philippians 1:6). May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Amen.
