We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for deliverance and healing. First and foremost, we must address the foundation of our faith—salvation through Jesus Christ. There is no deliverance, no healing, and no victory apart from Him. Jesus said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"* (John 14:6 WEB). It is only by His name, His blood, and His authority that we can stand against the works of darkness. If you have not surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today, for *"if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9 WEB).
Now, we take authority in the name of Jesus over every curse that has been spoken, invoked, or released against these precious lives. The Word of God declares, *"Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree'"* (Galatians 3:13 WEB). No curse can stand against the blood of Jesus. We break every generational curse, word curse, witchcraft curse, and any other assignment of darkness in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare that these curses are null, void, and powerless, for *"the Son of God was revealed to destroy the works of the devil"* (1 John 3:8 WEB). We command every evil spirit attached to these curses to leave now and go where Jesus sends them, never to return.
We also pray for the son mentioned in this request, that he would experience the fullness of God’s healing and restoration. Lord, we ask that You would touch his body and bring safe, healthy weight loss according to Your will. Give him discipline and self-control, for *"the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control"* (Galatians 5:22-23 WEB). We rebuke any spirit of gluttony, laziness, or emotional eating that may be at work, and we declare that he is free in Christ to walk in victory.
Father, we also lift up the deep wounds of his past. You are the God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3 WEB). We ask that You would bring healing to every memory, every betrayal, every rejection, and every pain that has shaped his life. Pour out Your love and peace upon him, for *"the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:7 WEB). Let him know that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14 WEB) and that his identity is found in You alone.
We stand against any spirit of heaviness, depression, or anxiety that may be lingering, and we release the joy of the Lord as his strength (Nehemiah 8:10 WEB). May he walk in the freedom that Christ died to give him, for *"if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed"* (John 8:36 WEB).
We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
