We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for deliverance and healing. First and foremost, we must address the foundation of our faith—salvation through Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we may be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be Lord of your life. Without Christ, there is no true deliverance or lasting healing, for He alone has broken the power of sin and darkness.
Now, we stand in agreement for the breaking of every curse over these lives. The Word of God declares that Christ became a curse for us so that we might receive the blessing of Abraham (Galatians 3:13-14). We rebuke every generational curse, every word spoken in anger or bitterness, and every assignment of the enemy meant to steal, kill, or destroy. In the name of Jesus, we command these curses to be shattered and rendered powerless. The blood of Jesus speaks a better word—one of redemption, freedom, and victory (Hebrews 12:24).
For the son mentioned here, we pray for safe and godly weight loss. May his body be a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and may he honor God with his health. We ask for discipline, wisdom, and self-control, which are fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). Let no spirit of gluttony, laziness, or self-hatred have dominion over him. Instead, fill him with Your peace and purpose, Lord.
We also lift up the deep wounds of his past. The enemy seeks to keep him bound in pain, but You, Lord, are the God who heals (Exodus 15:26). We ask for the healing of rejection, abandonment, betrayal, or any other hurt that has left scars on his heart. Pour out Your love like a balm, and let him know he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). Surround him with godly counsel and friendships that will speak life into his soul.
Father, we declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus. No weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We break every chain of addiction, depression, or fear that has tried to take root. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in the freedom Christ died to give them (John 8:36). Strengthen their faith, deepen their trust in You, and let them see Your hand moving in their lives.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the Name above every name, the One who has conquered sin, death, and every curse. Amen.
