We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for deliverance and healing. First and foremost, we must acknowledge that our access to the Father is only through the name of Jesus Christ, His Son. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so—confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be Lord of your life. Without Him, we have no authority to break curses or claim healing.
Father God, in the mighty name of Jesus, we stand on Your Word and declare that every curse spoken, inherited, or sent against these precious lives is broken right now by the power of the blood of Jesus. Galatians 3:13 tells us, *"Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.'" We rebuke every assignment of darkness, every generational stronghold, and every spirit of infirmity that has sought to oppress them. We command every curse to be nullified and rendered powerless in Jesus’ name. No weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we declare that they are covered by the blood of the Lamb, which speaks a better word than the blood of Abel (Hebrews 12:24).
Lord, we lift up this young man who is struggling with his weight. We pray for safe and godly transformation in his body, mind, and spirit. We ask that You would give him wisdom and discipline to honor his body as Your temple (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Father, we know that physical struggles are often tied to deeper emotional and spiritual wounds, so we ask that You would bring complete healing to his heart. Heal the hurts of his past, Lord—whether they be rejection, betrayal, abuse, or loss. Pour out Your love and comfort upon him, reminding him that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that his worth is found in You alone. We rebuke the spirit of gluttony, self-hatred, or any other bondage that may be contributing to this struggle, and we command it to leave in Jesus’ name.
We also pray for his mother, that You would strengthen her faith and fill her with Your peace as she intercedes for her son. Give her wisdom in how to support and encourage him without enabling unhealthy patterns. Father, we ask that You would restore joy, hope, and purpose to both of their lives. Let them walk in the freedom that Christ died to give them (Galatians 5:1), and may they experience the fullness of life that You promise to those who love You (John 10:10).
We declare that this young man is not defined by his past or his struggles. He is a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17), and we speak life, health, and victory over him. May he grow in his relationship with You, Lord, and may his testimony bring glory to Your name. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already won through Jesus Christ. Amen.
