We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for deliverance and healing. First and foremost, we must address the foundation of our faith—it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be Lord of your life. Without Him, we cannot stand against the schemes of the enemy or receive true healing.
Now, we stand in agreement for the breaking of every curse that has been spoken or brought against these precious lives. The Word of God declares that Christ became a curse for us so that we might be set free (Galatians 3:13). We rebuke every generational curse, word curse, or spiritual oppression in Jesus’ mighty name. The enemy has no authority here—Jesus has already disarmed the powers and principalities through His victory on the cross (Colossians 2:15). We command every assignment of darkness to be broken now, and we declare freedom, restoration, and wholeness over these lives.
For the son struggling with weight, we pray for safe and godly transformation. We ask the Lord to renew his mind with truth, for the Bible tells us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). May he find strength in Christ, who gives us the power to overcome every struggle (Philippians 4:13). We pray for discipline in eating and exercise, but even more, we pray for healing from the emotional wounds that may contribute to this battle. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We ask for His comfort, His peace, and His guidance in every step toward health.
For the healing of past hurts, we declare that Jesus came to bind up the brokenhearted and set the captives free (Isaiah 61:1). We renounce every lie of the enemy that has taken root—lies of rejection, abandonment, or unworthiness. The truth is that you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), deeply loved by the Father, and redeemed by the blood of Christ. We pray for the Holy Spirit to bring revelation of God’s love, to heal every memory, and to replace pain with joy. The Lord works all things together for good for those who love Him (Romans 8:28), and we trust Him to turn ashes into beauty.
We also encourage this family to seek godly counsel and community. Isolation gives the enemy a foothold, but walking in the light with fellow believers brings strength and accountability (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10). If there are unrepentant sins, habits, or soul ties that need to be broken, we urge you to confess them and turn away from them, for the Lord is faithful to forgive and cleanse us (1 John 1:9).
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Deliverer and Healer. We break every curse and assignment of the enemy over these lives. We declare freedom, restoration, and wholeness. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch over past hurts—bring comfort, peace, and revelation of Your love. For the son battling weight, we pray for safe transformation, discipline, and a renewed mind. Strengthen him with Your power and fill him with hope. Surround this family with Your presence and lead them into all truth. We trust in Your promises, Lord, and we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). May they walk in the fullness of Your blessings, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
