We come before the Lord Almighty with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for deliverance and healing. First and foremost, we must acknowledge that our access to the Father is only through the name of Jesus Christ, His Son. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so today—confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be Lord of your life. Without Him, we cannot approach God’s throne with confidence.
Father God, we stand in the authority of Jesus Christ to break every curse that has been spoken, invoked, or inherited against these precious lives. The Bible declares in Galatians 3:13, *"Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.'"* We rebuke every generational curse, every word spoken in anger or malice, and every spiritual oppression that has taken hold. In the name of Jesus, we command these curses to be broken now, never to return. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we cover them in the blood of Jesus, which cleanses and protects.
Lord, we lift up this young man who is struggling with his weight. We pray for safe and healthy weight loss, not by the world’s standards, but by Your design for his body. Give him discipline to honor You with his choices—what he eats, how he moves, and how he rests. Remind him that his body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and help him to care for it as an act of worship. We also ask for healing from past hurts that may have contributed to this struggle. Whether it’s emotional pain, rejection, or trauma, we declare that You are the God who heals (Psalm 147:3). Let Your love and truth wash over him, replacing lies with Your promises of worth and identity in Christ.
Father, we also address any ungodly soul ties, unforgiveness, or bitterness that may be hindering his healing. If there has been sin—whether his own or something done against him—we ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing (1 John 1:9). Help him to release any anger, resentment, or shame into Your hands. Fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
We declare over this young man that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), that he is loved by the Creator of the universe, and that his future is bright in You. Strengthen his faith, Lord, and draw him closer to You each day. May he walk in the freedom and victory that Christ died to give him.
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
