Deliverance

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for deliverance and healing. First, we must address the foundation of our prayers—it is only through the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we may be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. Without this, our prayers cannot be effective, for "whatever we ask, we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do the things that are pleasing in His sight" (1 John 3:22).

Now, we stand in agreement for the breaking of every curse over these lives mentioned. The Word of God declares that Christ became a curse for us so that we might be redeemed from every curse (Galatians 3:13). We rebuke every generational curse, every word spoken in anger or bitterness, every ungodly soul tie, and every assignment of the enemy against this family. We declare that the blood of Jesus has broken every chain, and we command every evil spirit operating under these curses to flee in the mighty name of Jesus. "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of Yahweh" (Isaiah 54:17).

For the son struggling with weight, we pray for a divine exchange—where the spirit of gluttony, emotional eating, or any physical imbalance is replaced with self-control, discipline, and godly stewardship over his body. The Bible tells us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and we must honor God with them. We pray for safe and sustainable weight loss, not by the world’s standards of vanity, but by God’s design for health and wholeness. May he find his worth and identity in Christ alone, not in the number on a scale or the opinions of others. "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law" (Galatians 5:22-23).

We also lift up the deep wounds of the past. Father, we ask that You would heal every memory, every rejection, every betrayal, and every moment of pain that has left scars on this young man’s heart. Your Word says that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We declare that the power of forgiveness is at work—both for those who have hurt him and for any unforgiveness he may be harboring. "Bear with one another, and forgive each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do" (Colossians 3:13). Let Your love, Lord, be the balm that soothes every hurt and restores his soul.

We pray for godly mentors and friends to surround him, people who will speak life, truth, and encouragement into his life. May he grow in wisdom, discernment, and a hunger for Your Word. "Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path" (Psalm 119:105). We also pray for his parents, that they would walk in wisdom, love, and unity as they guide him. May their home be a place of peace, prayer, and godly instruction.

Finally, we declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus. No weapon formed against them will prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment will be condemned. We stand in the authority of Jesus’ name, breaking every curse, releasing healing, and declaring freedom over their lives. "So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36).

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness. We trust that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We pray that this family would draw closer to You, experience Your peace, and walk in the fullness of the freedom You have purchased for them. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
