We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for deliverance and healing. First and foremost, we must address the foundation of our faith—salvation through Jesus Christ. There is no deliverance, no healing, and no true freedom outside of the name of Jesus. Acts 4:12 tells us, *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If this request does not come from a heart that has surrendered to Christ, we urge you to turn to Him now. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and receive the gift of eternal life. Without Jesus, there is no authority to break curses or bring lasting healing.
Now, we stand in agreement for the breaking of every curse spoken, generational, or self-inflicted over these precious lives. The Bible declares in Galatians 3:13, *"Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.'"* Through the blood of Jesus, every curse is broken! We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against these lives—every spirit of infirmity, addiction, bondage, and oppression. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Every generational curse of sickness, poverty, or destruction is nullified in Jesus’ name. We command every evil spirit to flee and every chain to be shattered by the power of the Holy Spirit.
For the son mentioned in this request, we pray for safe and godly weight loss. We know that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and we must honor God with them. We ask the Lord to give him discipline, wisdom, and self-control in his eating habits and physical activity. May he find joy in nourishing his body as an act of worship. We also pray for healing from past hurts—emotional wounds, betrayals, or traumas that may have contributed to unhealthy patterns. Psalm 147:3 says, *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds."* We ask You, Lord, to bring deep emotional healing, replacing pain with Your peace and purpose. Surround him with godly mentors, friends, and counselors who can speak life into him.
Father, we also lift up the mother (or guardian) in this situation. If there has been any involvement in ungodly spiritual practices—such as consulting psychics, dabbling in the occult, or harboring bitterness—we rebuke those influences now. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 warns against such things, and we declare that no ungodly soul tie or generational sin will have power over this family. We pray for repentance, forgiveness, and a fresh filling of the Holy Spirit. May this family walk in the freedom Christ died to give them.
We close this prayer by declaring that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus. No curse, no sickness, and no past hurt has authority over them. We speak life, health, and wholeness over them in Jesus’ mighty name. May they grow in their relationship with Christ, finding their identity in Him alone. We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already theirs through the cross. Amen.
