We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for deliverance and healing. First and foremost, we must address the foundation of our faith—salvation through Jesus Christ. There is no deliverance, no healing, and no victory apart from Him. Acts 4:12 tells us, *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you or your loved ones have not surrendered your lives to Jesus, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, repent, and invite Him to be Lord of your life, for it is only through His blood that we are cleansed and set free.
Now, we stand in agreement for the breaking of every curse over you and your son. The Bible declares in Galatians 3:13, *"Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.'"* We rebuke every generational curse, every word spoken in anger or hatred, and every spiritual assignment of the enemy against your lives. In the name of Jesus, we command every chain to be broken, every assignment of darkness to be dismantled, and every legal right the enemy has claimed to be revoked. We declare that you and your son are covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
For your son’s weight loss and healing from past hurts, we pray with faith and expectancy. We know that God desires wholeness for His children, as 3 John 1:2 says, *"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers."* We ask the Lord to give your son discipline and self-control, which are fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). May he find strength in the Lord to make choices that honor his body as a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). We also pray for emotional healing—Lord, bind up his wounds, comfort him in his pain, and replace every lie of the enemy with Your truth (Psalm 147:3). Let him know that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that his worth is found in You alone.
We also encourage you both to seek godly counsel and community. Proverbs 11:14 tells us, *"Where there is no counsel, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety."* Surround yourselves with believers who can pray with you, hold you accountable, and speak life into your situations. If there are areas of unforgiveness or bitterness in your hearts, we urge you to release them to the Lord. Unforgiveness is a heavy burden that the enemy uses to keep us in bondage. Ephesians 4:31-32 says, *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."*
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, declaring Your sovereignty over this situation. We thank You for the victory that is already ours through Christ. We break every curse, cancel every assignment of the enemy, and release Your healing power over this family. Lord, give them strength, wisdom, and perseverance as they walk this journey. May they experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and may Your love be their anchor in every storm. We trust You to complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6). In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
