First, let us address the power of the name of Jesus, which you rightly invoked. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is only through faith in Christ that we have access to the Father. As Scripture declares, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). Your acknowledgment of Jesus in your request is foundational, and we encourage you to continue calling upon His name in every circumstance, for *"all things, whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive"* (Matthew 21:22, WEB).
Now, let us speak truth into the areas where you seek deliverance. The anger, pain, nightmares, and lingering temptations you face are not uncommon battles for those who have turned from a life of sin to follow Christ. The enemy seeks to remind you of your past, to bind you with shame, and to tempt you back into old patterns. But take heart: *"If the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed"* (John 8:36, WEB). The blood of Jesus has already cleansed you from all unrighteousness, and His power is greater than any stronghold in your life. You are no longer a slave to sin but a child of God, and *"sin will not have dominion over you, for you are not under law, but under grace"* (Romans 6:14, WEB).
Regarding the sins of your past—fornication, adultery, theft, manipulation, and more—know this: *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB). You have confessed these things, and God has forgiven you. Do not let the enemy accuse you or drag you back into condemnation. *"There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus"* (Romans 8:1, WEB). Walk in this freedom, and when temptations arise, resist them firmly in the name of Jesus, for *"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you"* (James 4:7, WEB).
The struggles with lust and masturbation must be addressed with the truth of God’s Word. These are not harmless indulgences but sins against your own body, which is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20, WEB). Flee from sexual immorality, and fill your mind with what is pure, lovely, and praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8, WEB). When temptation comes, cry out to Jesus immediately, for He is your strength. *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. For your physical ailments—back pain, headaches, and nightmares—we pray for divine healing and peace. *"By his stripes you were healed"* (1 Peter 2:24, WEB), and we claim this promise over you. Now, let us turn our hearts to your son. It is clear you love him deeply and desire his salvation above all else. The music he listens to is a gateway for the enemy to influence his mind and emotions, filling him with anger and rebellion. But *"the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds"* (2 Corinthians 10:4, WEB). Pray fervently over his life, and declare that every ungodly influence—whether through music, media, or relationships—is broken in Jesus’ name. Speak life over him, that his heart would be softened to the conviction of the Holy Spirit. *"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it"* (Proverbs 22:6, WEB). Do not grow weary in praying for him, for the Lord hears the cries of a mother’s heart.
Finally, we encourage you to immerse yourself in the Word of God daily. *"Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path"* (Psalm 119:105, WEB). Let Scripture renew your mind and guard your heart. Surround yourself with a community of believers who can support you, pray with you, and hold you accountable. *"Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed.
