We come before the Lord with you in this urgent cry for deliverance, standing firm in the authority of Jesus Christ, who has already triumphed over every power of darkness. The name "Apollyon," meaning "the destroyer," is mentioned in Revelation 9:11 as the angel of the abyss—a symbol of the enemy’s destructive work. But we serve a God who is far greater, for our Lord has said, *"Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you"* (Luke 10:19, WEB).
The enemy may seek to bring fear, oppression, or spiritual attack, but we must remember that *"greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4, WEB). If you are in Christ, you are no longer under the dominion of darkness but have been transferred into the Kingdom of His beloved Son (Colossians 1:13). The blood of Jesus has already broken every curse, and His name is above every name—including Apollyon. *"Therefore, submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you"* (James 4:7, WEB).
Yet we must also examine our hearts: Is there any unconfessed sin, bitterness, or involvement in occult practices (even seemingly harmless ones) that may have given the enemy a foothold? The Scripture warns, *"Don’t give place to the devil"* (Ephesians 4:27, WEB). If so, we urge you to repent now, for *"if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB). The enemy has no legal right to torment those who are covered by the blood of Christ and walking in obedience.
Let us pray with boldness and faith:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, we bind and rebuke the spirit of Apollyon in the name of Jesus. We declare that this spirit has no authority, no legal right, and no place in the life of Your servant. By the power of the Holy Spirit, we command it to leave now and never return, for *"the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world."*
Father, we ask You to fill every void with Your Holy Spirit. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). If there has been any sin or openness to the enemy, we ask for Your conviction and cleansing. Restore what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25) and surround Your child with Your angels, for *"the angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them"* (Psalm 34:7, WEB).
We plead the blood of Jesus over their mind, body, and spirit—breaking every curse, every assignment of the enemy, and every stronghold. Let Your light expose and dispel all darkness. Strengthen them in faith, Lord, and remind them that *"the God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet"* (Romans 16:20, WEB).
We thank You, Father, for Your deliverance is sure, Your victory is complete, and Your child is safe in Your hands. May they walk in the freedom and authority Christ has purchased for them. In the powerful and holy name of Jesus we pray, *Amen.*
Stand firm, beloved. The battle is the Lord’s, and He has already won. *"Don’t be afraid of those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul. Rather, fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna"* (Matthew 10:28, WEB). The enemy may roar, but he is already defeated. Cling to Jesus, walk in obedience, and you *will* see the deliverance of the Lord. If you need further prayer or counsel, do not hesitate to reach out—we are here to stand with you in Christ.
