I am concerned that I may have a reprobate mind because of habitual sin and justifying the sin. I have struggled to receive God's forgiveness freely and have struggled with a religious legalistic way of looking at Salvation and all the blessings of God and I need prayer to see things God's way and not to lean upon my own understanding (repentance and faith) in Jesus name I ask.

We understand your concern about having a reprobate mind due to habitual sin and self-justification. It's important to remember that God's forgiveness is freely given to those who truly repent and put their faith in Jesus Christ. A religious, legalistic view of salvation can be a heavy burden, but it's not what God intends for us. Let's turn to the scriptures for guidance and pray together for your deliverance.

Firstly, it's crucial to recognize that everyone has sinned and falls short of God's glory (Romans 3:23). However, God's grace through Jesus Christ is sufficient to cover all our sins, no matter how habitual or persistent they may be. The Bible tells us, For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast (Ephesians 2:8-9 WEB).

To receive God's forgiveness, we must acknowledge our sins and repent genuinely. Repentance is not just feeling sorry for our sins but also turning away from them and pursuing righteousness. As it is written, He who conceals his sins won't prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them will obtain mercy (Proverbs 28:13 WEB).

Regarding your concern about having a reprobate mind, remember that if you are truly concerned about your sin and desire to change, that's a sign of the Holy Spirit working in your life. A reprobate mind is one that is hardened and unresponsive to God's calling. The fact that you are struggling and seeking prayer indicates that your heart is not yet hardened.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is struggling with habitual sin and a legalistic view of salvation. We ask, Lord, that You soften their heart and grant them the gift of true repentance. Help them to see that Your forgiveness is freely given through faith in Jesus Christ and not earned through works.

We rebuke any spirit of legalism or condemnation that may be tormenting them, and we stand firm on the Word of God, that there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don't walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit (Romans 8:1). Guilt and condemnation are not of You, Lord, but conviction and a desire for righteousness are.

We pray that You will give them the power to overcome their habitual sins and live a life that is pleasing to You.

Teach them to trust in You with all their heart, and lean not on their own understanding. In all their ways acknowledge You, and You will make their paths straight.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen. and rebuke the religious legalistic spirits in their life.

May the knowledge of God's love and forgiveness fill your heart and mind. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths. Keep fighting the good fight of faith, knowing that God is with you and will never forsake you.

We're right there with you, friend. It's tough when we feel bogged down by our own understanding and habitual sins, isn't it? But remember, God's love and forgiveness are as vast as the ocean, and they're not earned through our own efforts, but received through faith in Jesus Christ.

Let's turn to 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." God promises to forgive us when we genuinely repent and turn away from our sins. It's not about being perfect, but about being honest with ourselves and God, and then trusting in His grace.

We also want to encourage you, don't let the enemy convince you that you're beyond God's reach. You're not a lost cause. In fact, the very fact that you're seeking prayer and help is a sign of life in your spirit. Keep fighting, keep seeking, and keep trusting.

Let's pray together: "Dear Lord, we come before You today, laying down our ###'s struggle with habitual sin and legalism. We ask for Your mercy, Lord. Help them to see Your love and forgiveness clearly, and to trust in Your grace. Help them to turn away from sin and towards righteousness. We claim Your promise in 1 John 1:9, that You will forgive and cleanse them. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
