We hear your cry for deliverance and restoration, dear sister in Christ, and we stand with you in fervent prayer before the throne of God. The pain of past abuse and the lingering effects of spiritual oppression are heavy burdens, but we declare that Jesus Christ is your Deliverer, your Healer, and your Strong Tower. The enemy may have sought to defile and distort God’s design for intimacy and marriage in your life, but we rebuke every lying spirit in the mighty name of Jesus.
First, we must address the reality of what you’ve described as a "spiritual husband." Scripture makes it clear that there is no such thing as a spiritual union outside of the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. Any spirit that has attached itself to you through trauma, abuse, or deception is a demonic counterfeit, seeking to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). The enemy has no right to claim any part of your life, for you belong to Christ. We command every unclean spirit—every spirit of lust, perversion, rejection, and false intimacy—to loose its hold on you now in the name of Jesus. The blood of Jesus has broken every chain, and His resurrection power is greater than any darkness (1 John 4:4). We declare that you are washed clean, set apart, and sealed by the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13-14).
The abuse you endured was not your fault, and it does not define you. God sees your pain, and He longs to heal the wounds of your heart. Psalm 147:3 says, *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds."* We pray that the Lord would restore your soul, renew your mind, and replace every lie with His truth. The enemy may have used abuse to plant seeds of shame, fear, or worthlessness, but we declare that you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), deeply loved by your Heavenly Father, and destined for godly relationships that reflect His goodness.
We must also address the pattern of men who pursue you without commitment. This is not God’s will for your life. Proverbs 18:22 says, *"Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from Yahweh."* God desires for you to be cherished in a covenant of marriage, not treated as an object of temporary desire. The men you’ve encountered may be operating under their own brokenness or the influence of the same spirits that have sought to oppress you. We pray that God would blind your eyes to every ungodly suitor and open them to the man He has prepared for you—a man of integrity, faith, and honor who will love you as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25).
But we must also examine your own heart. Have you allowed bitterness, fear, or distrust to take root? Hebrews 12:15 warns, *"Looking carefully lest there be any man who falls short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled."* We encourage you to surrender every hurt, every fear, and every expectation to the Lord. Ask Him to search your heart and reveal any areas that need healing or repentance (Psalm 139:23-24). Forgiveness—even of those who abused you—is not for their sake, but for yours, so that you may walk in the freedom Christ died to give you (Colossians 3:13).
We also rebuke the spirit of lust that may be operating in the lives of the men around you. Lust is a snare that distorts God’s design for intimacy and leads to destruction (Proverbs 6:25-29). We pray that every man who encounters you would be convicted by the Holy Spirit to walk in purity and honor, or that God would remove them from your path entirely. You deserve to be pursued with godly intention, not fleshly desire.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name that is above every name. We thank You that You are our Deliverer, our Healer, and our Redeemer. Lord, we stand on Your Word that says, *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from Me"* (Isaiah 54:17). We declare that every spiritual husband, every spirit of lust, and every demonic assignment against [###] is broken now by the power of the blood of Jesus.
We renounce every ungodly soul tie, every false covenant, and every lie that has taken root in her heart. We break every curse of abuse, rejection, and perversion in the name of Jesus. Father, we ask that You would send Your angels to encamp around her, to guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Psalm 91:11). We pray that You would fill every void, every wound, and every place of brokenness with Your perfect love and peace.
Father, we ask that You would raise up godly men in Your church who will pursue Your daughters with honor and integrity. We pray that You would blind [###]’s eyes to every ungodly suitor and open them to the man You have prepared for her—a man after Your own heart, who will love her as Christ loves the church. Give her wisdom and discernment to recognize him when he comes, and grant her the patience to wait for Your perfect timing.
Lord, we ask that You would heal her heart from the pain of past abuse. Replace every lie with Your truth. Remind her daily that she is Your beloved daughter, created for a purpose, and that her worth is found in You alone. Help her to forgive those who have hurt her, not because they deserve it, but because You have commanded it and because it is the path to her freedom.
We declare that the enemy’s plans for her life are frustrated, and that Your plans for her are for good and not for evil, to give her a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We speak restoration over her life—restoration of her heart, her mind, her body, and her relationships. We declare that she will walk in the fullness of the freedom Christ died to give her, and that she will one day stand before You as a radiant bride, pure and spotless, ready to meet her Bridegroom.
In the name of Jesus, we command every unclean spirit to flee and never return. We seal this prayer with the blood of Jesus and declare that [###] is covered, protected, and set free. We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness, and we trust You to complete the good work You have begun in her life. Amen.
Sister, we encourage you to stand firm in your identity in Christ. You are not a victim; you are a victor. The abuse you endured does not have the final say over your life—Jesus does. We urge you to immerse yourself in God’s Word, for it is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Meditate on verses that speak to your identity, your healing, and your future. Surround yourself with godly community—believers who will pray with you, encourage you, and hold you accountable. If possible, seek out a trusted pastor, counselor, or deliverance minister who can walk with you through this process.
Remember, deliverance is not a one-time event but a lifestyle of walking in the freedom Christ has already won for you. Every time a thought, memory, or temptation arises, take it captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). Rebuke the enemy in Jesus’ name and declare the truth of God’s Word over your life. You are not alone in this battle. The Lord is your Shepherd, and He will lead you beside still waters and restore your soul (Psalm 23:1-3).
Lastly, we want to gently address the mention of "spiritual husband" in your request. While we understand this is a term sometimes used in certain circles, we must emphasize that Scripture does not recognize any spiritual union outside of the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. Any such "spiritual husband" is a demonic deception, and we encourage you to renounce it fully in the name of Jesus. The only spiritual union that matters is your union with Christ, who is your Bridegroom (Revelation 19:7-9). Your earthly marriage, if God wills it for you, will be a reflection of that sacred covenant.
We also want to ensure that you have placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). This is the first and most important step in walking in the freedom and victory Christ offers.
You are deeply loved, and your future is bright in Christ. Keep pressing into Him, and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). The right man will come at the right time, and until then, God is your Husband (Isaiah 54:5). Rest in His love, and let Him heal your heart. We stand with you in faith, believing that your testimony will one day declare the glory of God’s redemption.
