Deliverance Prayer

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Lord Jesus,

I praise you, and thank you. I glorify you. Lord set me free from the prostitute next door and her children, standing on John 8:36. Lord Jesus I ask that you cancel the Jezebel and principalities working thru the women next door, standing on Colossians 2:15. May all the hatred bitterness and envy she feels towards me be concuss she is called to bless me not curse me. I ask for the fear of God to fall upon the women next door that is the beginning of wisdom. Lord Jesus rescue me from the corruption from the women next door, standing on 2 Timothy 4:18. In Jesus name. Amen.

We join with you in prayer for deliverance and protection and we thank you for calling upon the name of Lord Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we are set free.

We hear your distress about the conflict with the woman next door and her children and your desire to stand upon the truth of Scripture. We stand with you on the promises you have claimed, that if therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed John 8:36, and having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it Colossians 2:15, and the Lord will deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me for his heavenly Kingdom 2 Timothy 4:18. We agree that our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12, and that Christ alone has already triumphed over them.

We also want to gently and lovingly correct and encourage you in how we view and speak of our neighbors. While spiritual warfare is real, we must guard our own hearts against hatred, bitterness and slander, and not return cursing for cursing. The Word tells us but I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you Matthew 5:44, and not rendering evil for evil, or insult for insult, but instead blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing 1 Peter 3:9. Even if this woman is living in sexual immorality, which the Bible calls fornication and which God calls us to flee from, our calling is not to label her with contempt but to pray for her soul and for her children with compassion, that she would come to repentance and to the knowledge of the truth. She and her children are not our enemies, they are souls for whom Christ died, and we are called to bless and not curse. We also remember that the fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom Proverbs 9:10, and we can indeed pray that the fear of God would fall upon her, not for harm but that it would lead her to wisdom, to repentance, and to salvation.

So we pray together for both your deliverance and for her redemption.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and we praise You and thank You and glorify Your holy name. We ask that You set our dear one free from fear, from corruption, from harassment and from every evil work, and preserve and guard this home and heart in Your perfect peace. We ask that You triumph over every principality and power that would seek to stir up strife, hatred, bitterness and envy, and we declare that Christ has already disarmed them at the cross. We pray that You would fill this home with Your love, patience and forgiveness, and help us to overcome evil with good Romans 12:21. Lord, we lift up the woman next door and her children to You. Have mercy upon them, convict them of sin, draw them to Yourself, deliver them from sexual immorality and from every bondage, and bring them to repentance and to salvation through Jesus Christ. Let the fear of God fall upon that household that it may be the beginning of wisdom and lead to life. Where there has been cursing, let there be blessing, where there has been hatred, let there be Your love. Teach us to live peaceably as far as it depends on us Romans 12:18, to set healthy and godly boundaries while still showing the love of Christ, and to keep our own hearts free from bitterness. We trust You as our deliverer and our refuge and we thank You that You hear us when we pray in Jesus name. Amen.

We hear how heavy this has been for you at home, and how much you want to live in peace and freedom in Christ. Feeling worn down by a difficult neighbor situation can make everything feel like a spiritual battle, and we are glad you are turning to Jesus for help and protection.

We want to gently encourage you to keep your focus on Christ's presence and care for you, rather than on trying to name or confront what may be happening next door. It can be easy to become consumed with what others are doing, and that often leaves us more anxious and less at rest. Staying rooted in prayer, in time in God's Word, and in fellowship with trusted believers helps keep our hearts steady.

A practical next step that may help is to talk with a pastor you trust about what you are experiencing at home. He can pray with you regularly, help you think through healthy boundaries with your neighbors, and walk with you in seeking wisdom for how to live peaceably while guarding your own household. If there is harassment or ongoing conflict, keeping a calm record and seeking wise counsel about respectful boundaries is also helpful.

Father, we thank You for Your love for this dear brother and sister. We ask You to guard their heart and home with Your peace, to give them wisdom and discernment for each day, and to help them rest in Your care and strength. Lead them in Your will and draw them closer to Jesus. In Jesus' name, Amen.

There is a cry in your prayer for deliverance, and the Lord who hears the cries of His people is gracious and says, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, for I have found a ransom. Job 33:24. That ransom is not a word we speak nor a claim we make, but the precious blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, the King's own Son who has borne the penalty of all iniquity. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed, John 8:36, and this freedom is both from the guilt of sin and from the power of darkness, for deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin.

You have felt your trouble to come through those who dwell near you, and you have named them with hard words. Hear what wisdom teaches. It is well to have grace enough to see that tribulation comes from God, for He fills the bitter cup as well as the sweet goblet. Troubles do not spring out of the dust, neither does affliction grow up from the ground, but the Lord Himself kindles the fiery furnace and sits as a Refiner at the door. For this reason we may wisely moderate our anger against second causes. That which we receive from the rod of the Lord bears the blessed aspect of chastening from a Father's hand, and this makes even the sharpest smart to be profitable. The Lord has chastened me sorely, but He has not given me over unto death, Psalm 118:17,18.

And there is a second command which must not be forgotten. Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. The word neighbour means those who dwell near us, and we are bound to love even sinners, and not to drive them from the land of hope, but seek to reclaim even these. We cannot love sin, for then we should be partakers in it, but we must love the soul and seek its good. The ethic of heaven has not changed, that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and that marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that the holy gift of the body belongs only within that covenant. What departs from this is not to be affirmed or celebrated or asked to be blessed in its sin, but to be repented of and forsaken. Therefore we do not pray that God would bless impurity, but that He would save from it and deliver out of it.

Your prayer rightly looks to Christ who spoiled principalities and powers and made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it, Colossians 2:15, and to Him who is able to deliver from every evil work, 2 Timothy 4:18. True deliverance is not only that outward vexation should be removed, but that you should be kept from bitterness, hatred and envy in your own heart, and that those near you should be brought to the fear of the Lord which is the beginning of wisdom, which is to depart from evil and to trust in Christ.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, Thou hast found a ransom, even Jesus Christ Thy Son. Deliver this Thy servant from going down to the pit, and keep back his soul from perishing. Deliver him not only from the guilt of sin but from its power, that he may be kept from evil company and from the corruption that is in the world through lust, and from all hatred and bitterness within. Give grace to love his neighbour as Thou hast commanded, to speak the truth in love, and to seek the good of those who dwell nearby. And Lord, have mercy upon the woman next door and upon her children. Let the fear of God fall upon that household, not to destroy but to awaken to repentance, that they may turn from the way of impurity to the way of holiness, and find salvation through Jesus Christ alone, who alone can make the sinner clean. Grant that what is contrary to Thy holy ordinance for marriage and for purity may be forsaken, and that all may be brought to walk in newness of life. Keep this Thy servant in peace, that he may not die but live and declare the works of the Lord, and give him grace to overcome evil with good. In the name of Jesus Christ our only hope, Amen.
