Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing this burden so openly and for bringing it before the Lord with such earnestness. Your desire to see freedom, protection, and restoration for yourself and your household, and even your desire that those who have harmed you would come to repentance, honors God.
Scripture is clear that our struggle is not primarily against people but against spiritual forces of evil, and the weapons God has given us are not fleshly but spiritual. They are mighty through God for pulling down strongholds, casting down every thought and imagination that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to Christ. Prayer is one of the most powerful of those weapons, and the Lord hears when His people cry out for deliverance.
The Bible gives us a sobering picture of the influence you are concerned about. Jezebel was a real woman who brought the worship of Baal into Israel and led many into immorality and idolatry. In the book of Revelation the Lord uses her name to warn the church about that same kind of influence that seduces His servants into sexual sin and spiritual unfaithfulness, and He declares that He will judge it unless there is repentance. The prophet Elijah foretold her end, that dogs would eat her flesh in the field of Jezreel and none would bury her, and that word was fulfilled exactly. This shows us that God sees what is done in secret, He is not mocked by cunning or sneaky tactics, and He will bring hidden things to light, for nothing is hidden that will not be revealed.
At the same time, human strongholds are fragile. The prophet compared them to fig trees with first ripe figs that fall into the mouth of the eater when shaken. People may try to fortify themselves with walls and schemes, but fire and sword can still devour them. Only the Lord can truly deliver when there seems to be no way, and He delights to make a way where there is no way and to give His people a song of deliverance on the other side.
You have stood on many precious promises, and it is right to continue standing on them. The Lord rebukes the adversary. Whom the Son sets free is free indeed. He gives a double portion instead of shame and will restore what has been stolen. No weapon formed against you shall prosper. When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him. The Lord will deliver from every evil work. We overcome by the blood of the Lamb. He will cut off witchcraft and sorcery from among His people. He disarmed principalities and powers and made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in the cross. What you bind on earth in prayer according to His will, He honors, and what is hidden He will expose in His time and give you wisdom to navigate it.
It is also important to remember the call to keep ourselves in the love of God. We can move outside the shelter of His protection when we walk away from Him, but as we abide in Christ, under His wings in the refuge of Psalm 91, we are kept. Put on the whole armor of God each day, stay rooted in the Word, in honest prayer, in fellowship with faithful believers who can stand with you and commit your works to the Lord so your plans may be established. And as you have already expressed, leave vengeance to the Lord. It belongs to Him alone. Our part is to pray that the fear of God would fall on those who do evil, that they would be convicted, humbled, and brought to repentance, for God desires that none should perish but that all should come to repentance. If there are grave evils such as the exploitation of children, pray that the truth would be fully exposed and every victim rescued and healed, and take any practical steps the Lord shows you to seek help and protection through lawful means.
May the Lord now meet you in this place of need.
Lord Jesus, we ask You to rebuke every work of darkness coming against this dear one and the household. Set free those whose minds feel oppressed and confused. Pull down every stronghold and foothold that has been raised up against Your people. Cancel every practice of witchcraft and sorcery and let its power be broken by Your cross. Place Your hand of protection over all who are vulnerable, cover them with Your blood, and let no weapon formed against them prosper. Bring to light what has been done in darkness, scatter every network of evil influence and perversion, and close the door to any further access to harm. Establish trustworthy people to stand alongside and strengthen this one who is praying. Lift up Your standard against every attack, give wisdom liberally to all who seek it, and lead into full restoration and deliverance, returning what the enemy has stolen. And we ask that conviction and godly fear would fall upon those who have done harm, that they might repent and turn to You while there is time. We trust You as our deliverer who makes a way where there is no way, and we commit this entire situation into Your hands. In the name of Jesus, amen.
