Deliverance Prayer

Lord Jesus,

I praise you, and thank you. I glorify you. I ask that all strongholds and footholds over me not of you be cancelled, standing on 2 Corinthians 10:3-5. Lord Jesus I ask that you cancel all withdrawals over my son and me, standing on Micah 5:12.

I cover me and my son with the precious blood of Jesus, standing on Revelations 12:11. In Jesus name I pray and ask. Amen.

We join you in praising and glorifying our Lord Jesus and we thank Him with you for His mercy and power to deliver. We stand together with you seeking God's will for you and your son in Jesus' name and we agree with you for freedom from every stronghold and foothold that is not of Him.

The Word reminds us in 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 that though we walk in the flesh, we do not wage war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. We also take to heart Ephesians 4:27 to give no opportunity to the devil, and James 4:7 to submit ourselves therefore to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from us. We know our struggle is not against flesh and blood as Ephesians 6:12 teaches, and greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world as 1 John 4:4 declares.

We also stand on Micah 5:12 where the Lord says I will cut off sorceries out of your hand and you shall have no more soothsayers, and we agree with you that every form of witchcraft, sorcery, curse, and spiritual withdrawal or oppression over you and your son be cut off and cancelled in the name of Jesus. If there are physical withdrawals involved, we also ask the Lord for His healing touch, strength and sustaining grace, for He is our deliverer and our healer.

We cover you and your son with the precious blood of Jesus, standing on Revelation 12:11 that they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and on 1 John 1:7 that the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. It is only through that blood and through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father and victory over the enemy, and we rejoice that you have called upon that name in faith.

We pray together now. Father in heaven, we praise You and thank You and glorify Your holy name. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ we ask that You throw down every stronghold and take away every foothold of the enemy over our dear one and over her son. We ask that You cancel and cut off every sorcery, every assignment and every withdrawal that has been placed upon them, whether spiritual or physical. Wash them and cover them with the blood of Jesus, cleanse them, protect them and let no weapon formed against them prosper. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, with peace, strength and soundness of mind. Help them to walk in obedience, in the truth of Your Word, to put on the whole armor of God daily and to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. Let Your will be done in their lives and let them walk in complete freedom and testimony of Your delivering power. We ask and pray all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

We encourage you to continue in daily prayer, in reading the Word, in repentance and obedience, and in declaring the truth of Scripture over your home. Submit fully to God, resist the enemy, and trust that the Lord who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it and to keep you and your son in His perfect care.

We are grateful you shared this heartfelt prayer with us. Hearing you praise and thank Jesus even as you bring your concerns for yourself and your son is encouraging. Your desire to be covered and kept close to Him, and to see your son covered as well, is a beautiful reflection of a parent's love.

We join you in asking the Lord to keep you both in His care and to give you clear minds and peaceful hearts as you walk with Him day by day. Strongholds can feel heavy, and it is good that you are bringing them directly to Jesus, trusting His power rather than any formula. He knows you by name and He knows your son.

One thing that often helps in seasons when you are praying for deliverance and protection is to not carry it alone. If you have a trusted pastor or a couple of mature believers you can share this prayer with in person, inviting them to pray with you and check in regularly can be a steady encouragement. A simple daily rhythm of prayer and reading Scripture together or on your own can also help keep your focus on Christ's presence over time.

Father, we thank You for this parent and for this son. We ask You to keep them close to You, to guard their hearts and minds, and to fill their home with Your peace. Give them wisdom, strength for each day, and confidence in Your care. Lead them forward in Your will and keep them in Your hands. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. There is a holy wisdom in beginning as you have begun, with praise and thanksgiving and the giving of glory to the Lord, for gratitude for deliverance is itself a testimony that He has heard and has become our salvation. You have done well to run at once to the true refuge, for the name of the Lord is a strong tower, and the righteous run into it and are safe. Happy is he who leaves the sand for the Rock, the phantom for the Substance.

You ask that every stronghold and foothold not of God should be cancelled, standing upon that word in 2 Corinthians 10:3-5, that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds and the casting down of imaginations. Be assured that this stronghold means that God abides forever the same, always a sure refuge for the needy. Strongholds are not like temporary camps. Fortifications are intended to stand from generation to generation and in that sense the Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble. He knows them that trust in Him. As a faithful physician knows his patient and does not prescribe at a venture, so the Lord knows all about you and cares for you with an intense and loving care. There is no hesitation needed. He who would be safe must run into this tower without delay.

You ask also that every work of darkness over you and your son should be cut off, and you would cover you both with the precious blood of Jesus, standing upon Revelation 12:11, that we overcome by the blood of the Lamb. Here is your confidence. For the covenant of grace and the atonement by blood and the immutable love of the ever blessed Three in One, we have a sure witness. Deliverance is by divine power alone. It is of small use for those afflicted in mind to look to man if their distress is spiritual, for only God can deliver them. But if the Son shall make you free, you shall be free indeed. The prisoner ready to be cast down to the pit hears this word from heaven, Deliver him from going down to the pit, I have found a ransom. The Lord has found it in Himself, in His own bosom where His only begotten and well beloved Son was lying, whom He gave up to bleed and die for sinners. That blood is your covering and your plea.

Therefore take a walk upon the ramparts and do not remain down in the dungeon. When the accuser says you shall perish after all, answer him, He is a faithful God and mighty to deliver, and He gave His Son for me. He loved me and gave Himself for me. Let us pray together for you and for your dear son.

O Lord our God, we praise You and thank You that You are good and that Your mercy endures forever. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ that You would pull down every imagination and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. Cut off every work of darkness and every snare of the enemy from this dear soul and from her son. Cover them with the precious blood of Jesus shed for many, and let that atonement be their strong tower and their song of deliverance. Keep them in the day of trouble, make them to know that You know them and care for them, and lead them out of every Egypt of sorrow by Your own divine power into liberty and peace. We ask this trusting only in the ransom which You have found, in Jesus name, Amen.
