Scripture shows that Jesus came bearing our infirmities and sicknesses, as Isaiah foretold and as Matthew explains, surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows. The Gospels show him healing in many different ways. Sometimes the healing was immediate, sometimes it was gradual, as in the one case where sight came in stages. Sometimes he touched, sometimes he only spoke a word, sometimes he went to the person, sometimes he healed from a distance. He is not confined to a single pattern. That same power was shown over the physical realm in calming wind and sea and over the spiritual realm in commanding evil spirits who obeyed him. In the kingdom of God there will be no sickness, no blindness or lameness, and his healings and deliverances were signs of that coming restoration, a foretaste of God making whole what sin has broken.
Healing itself takes many forms and all true healing is from God. He has built healing processes into our bodies, and that natural process is no less divine because it is natural, for he created nature and its processes. There is also healing of the mind and emotions, the mending of deep wounds and scars, which is just as real a work of God. There is much about healing we do not understand. We do not know why some are healed quickly and others are healed slowly or not as we hope. It is not scriptural to assume God wills physical healing in every case in the way and time we expect. Paul prayed three times concerning his thorn in the flesh and the answer was not removal but sustaining grace. It is wrong and hurtful to tell someone that continued sickness or struggle means there is hidden sin or a lack of faith. Faith is important, and prayer is vital, and the Scripture invites the sick to call for the elders to pray, but God remains sovereign and loving in how he answers.
For that reason we want to avoid anything phony or manipulative that whips people into a frenzy or exploits suffering for gain. Real ministry points quietly to Jesus, not to a method or a spectacle. He often told those he healed not to make a show of it but to go and live as a testimony.
So we pray for you and for all who are vulnerable and have been harmed. We pray for deliverance in the full biblical sense, for God to break the power of evil, to protect the innocent, to bring what is hidden into the light, and to bring justice through the authorities he has ordained. We pray for healing in every dimension, body, mind, and spirit, whether it comes in a moment or through a gradual process over time, and we pray for wisdom, courage, and perseverance for you to take the right next steps and to stay connected to trustworthy, godly support and professional help. We pray that you will know the presence of Jesus who bore our griefs, who has authority over all evil, and who restores and makes whole according to his perfect will.
