Lord Jesus,

I praise you, and thank you. I glorify you. Lord Jesus I ask that you set me free of all emotions coming from an aunt that I haven’t seen since I was a Teen ### that couldn’t conceive, standing on John 8:36. I bind off of me any transfer of spirits coming from ### to me, standing on Matthew 18:18. I ask Lord Jesus that you restore into my life any hindrances that I experienced from ###, standing on Isaiah 61:7.

I cover this prayer with the precious blood of Jesus, standing on Revelations 12:11.

In Jesus name I pray and ask. Amen.

We stand with you in agreement, lifting this heavy burden before the throne of grace. The emotions and spiritual influences you describe are real, and we take them seriously, for Scripture warns us that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). We rebuke every transferred spirit, every generational iniquity, and every emotional tie that has sought to bind you to past pain. In the name of Jesus Christ, we declare them broken and severed from your life.

Your prayer rightly stands on powerful Scriptures, John 8:36, "If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed," and Matthew 18:18, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever things you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven, and whatever things you release on earth will have been released in heaven." We affirm these truths over you. The blood of Jesus, as Revelation 12:11 declares, has overcome the accuser, and by His blood, we are cleansed and protected. We plead the blood of Jesus over your mind, heart, and spirit, sealing you in His righteousness.

However, we must gently correct a misunderstanding in your prayer. You asked the Lord to "restore into my life any hindrances that I experienced." This is not aligned with God’s will. Hindrances are not to be restored, they are to be removed. Isaiah 61:7 speaks of a double portion of blessing, not a restoration of bondage: "Instead of your shame you will have double; and instead of dishonor, they will rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they will possess double. Everlasting joy will be to them." We pray instead for the Lord to remove every hindrance, heal every wound, and restore to you what the enemy has stolen, joy, peace, and spiritual wholeness.

We also note that your aunt’s barrenness, while a source of pain, does not give her authority to transfer spirits or emotions to you. God is the giver of life, and He alone holds sovereignty over our lives. Any spiritual transfer is a work of darkness, and we renounce it in Jesus’ name. We declare that you are not bound by her struggles, her grief, or any ungodly soul ties. You are a child of God, and your identity is found in Christ alone.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name above every name. We thank You for Your deliverance and for the freedom that is ours through the cross. Lord, we stand on Your Word and declare that ### is set free from every emotional and spiritual tie to her past. We break every chain, every transferred spirit, and every generational curse in Jesus’ name. We plead the blood of Jesus over her mind, will, and emotions, and we ask You to heal every wound that has been inflicted.

Father, we ask You to remove every hindrance that has held ### back from walking in the fullness of Your purpose. Restore to her what the enemy has stolen, joy, peace, confidence, and spiritual authority. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, that she may walk in the freedom Christ died to give her. We declare that she is not defined by her past, but by the finished work of Jesus on the cross.

Lord, we ask You to surround ### with Your angels, to guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Let her know Your love in a deeper way, and let her walk in the victory that is hers as Your child. We thank You for Your faithfulness, and we trust You to complete the good work You have begun in her.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue standing on God’s Word, renewing your mind with Scripture, and walking in the authority you have as a believer in Christ. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Do not grow weary in this battle, for the Lord is your strength. We believe Jesus is faithful to hear you as you seek Him, more than any feeling or influence from the past. Freedom in Christ is often a process of learning to rest in what He has already done for you and walking with Him day by day, not something we have to fight to earn.

Father, we lift our friend to you. Thank you for your love and for the freedom you offer through Jesus. We ask you to bring peace where there has been heaviness, to heal old wounds, and to guide each step forward with wisdom and clarity. Help them to know they are secure and loved in you. Your prayer has been heard and it is good that you begin with praise and thanksgiving, for the heart that glorifies Christ is already looking to the right source for deliverance. We join with you in blessing the Lord who alone can loose the captive.

You have well quoted that word, If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed, John 8:36. Remember what we have often taught, that when any man is saved from spiritual bondage, it is the Lord Jesus who loosens the captive, and salvation is of the Lord. Our deliverance is by divine power, not by our binding or loosing in ourselves, but by Him who found a ransom. As it is written, Deliver him from going down to the pit, I have found a ransom, Job 33:24. Nobody would have thought of that way of deliverance of a sinner from the pit through a ransom if God had not thought of it, and that ransom is the blood of His own Son.

Therefore we would have you rest not upon a fear of transfer of spirits from others, nor upon emotions that may have lingered from long ago, but upon Christ Himself. The Scripture you cite in Matthew 18:18 speaks of the authority Christ has given His church in matters of discipline and prayer according to His will, and Revelation 12:11 teaches that we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony. The blood does not serve as a charm to cover our own words, but as the price that has already secured our pardon and our freedom. In Him we have been delivered from the power of darkness and translated into the kingdom of His dear Son, Colossians 1:13.

There is a bondage which is the work of sin and the devil, and there is a conviction which the Spirit of God sends to show us our need of Christ. But for the believer, we have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear, but the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father, Romans 8:15. You need not live in dread of an aunt unseen since your teen years, nor of her sorrow in not conceiving. The Lord knows your frame and your history, and He is able to heal the hindrances and sorrows that have pressed upon you, and to give you beauty for ashes and double for your shame, as Isaiah 61:7 promises, in His own gracious way and time.

So let us pray for you now.

O Lord our God, we thank Thee for this soul who seeks Thy face. Thou hast brought Israel forth out of the house of bondage, and Thou still bringest forth Thy people by Thy right hand. We ask that Thou wouldst make Thy deliverance effectual in this life. Let the precious blood of Jesus Christ, shed for sinners, be the ground of peace and confidence. If there be any fear, any lingering burden, any emotion that holds the heart in sore bondage, do Thou loosen it. Teach this dear one to walk erect in conscious, God given freedom, to know that Christ's yoke is easy and His burden is light, and to find that obedience is freedom to Thy servant. Restore what has been broken or hindered, according to Thy wisdom and mercy, and let this life declare the works of the Lord, that others in like trouble may take comfort. Keep this soul in perfect peace, trusting in Jesus alone for justification and for sanctification, for deliverance from the guilt and from the power of sin.

Thank you for sharing this prayer and for your desire to walk in the freedom Christ gives. I have prayed with you and for you, asking the Lord to bring His peace and clarity to your heart.

You stood on John 8:36, and that promise is true and sure. When the Son sets us free, we are free indeed. That freedom is not a technique or a formula, but a person. Through His incarnation, death and resurrection, Christ has accomplished two great things for us, deliverance from evil and the supply of every good gift, so that we who were under a curse might be brought into sonship and receive the Spirit of adoption. In Him you are not defined by your family history or by another person's sorrow or struggle, including your aunt's inability to conceive. You are a new creation in Christ, and your identity and future are secure in Him.

You mentioned a transfer of spirits and binding. Scripture does teach us to pray with authority, and Matthew 18:18 speaks of binding and loosing in the context of the church seeking Christ's mind and acting according to what is written. We are to learn not to think beyond what is written, and not to build fear on ideas that go beyond Scripture. The Bible does not teach that infertility or emotions can be spiritually transferred from one relative to another in the way we sometimes fear. What it does teach is that we have a Father of spirits, and when we are in subjection to Him we live. He disciplines and forms us for our profit, not to keep us under another person's burden.

You also prayed for restoration from hindrances, standing on Isaiah 61:7. The Lord truly is a restorer who gives a double portion in place of shame, and He does this by making us His sons and daughters. And you covered your prayer with the blood of Jesus, standing on Revelation 12:11. Our victory is indeed through the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. That blood does not function as a covering we speak over words, but as the once for all sacrifice by which we are forgiven, cleansed and brought near to God.

God does not always promise to remove every painful memory or emotion instantly, but He does promise something greater. He lifts us above fear and teaches us to despise the power of death and darkness because we have eternal life in Him. He plants in us the steady doctrine of His love and then comforts us as we walk it out day by day.

So I pray for you now in that confidence. Lord Jesus, thank You that You are the one who sets us free. I ask that You quiet any fear, sadness or confusion that has weighed on this dear one, and that You renew her mind by Your Word and Your Spirit. Let her know deeply that she is Your daughter, loved, forgiven and kept by Your blood. Where there has been loss or disappointment in the family, bring Your healing and Your double portion of joy. Teach her to walk in what is written, to pray with wisdom, and to rest in Your finished work. Fill her with the Spirit of adoption so that she may live in peace and hope.

Continue to bring these burdens to the Father in the name of Jesus, staying rooted in Scripture, in prayer, and in fellowship with other believers. If these emotions persist, it can also be a help to speak with a trusted pastor or counselor who can walk with you personally and apply the Word to your situation.

May the Lord grant you His peace, establish you in His freedom, and show you daily the riches of being His child.

Thank you for sharing your heart and your desire to walk in the freedom that Jesus gives. That desire is right and good, and God hears you when you come to Him through His Son.

The Scripture you stood on says it beautifully, if the Son sets you free you shall be free indeed. That freedom in John 8:36 is first and foremost freedom from the bondage of sin. The Bible pictures that bondage like Egypt. As Pharaoh held the people and would not let them go, so sin and the enemy seek to hold us. And as God delivered His people with a mighty hand when there was no way out, even making a way through the sea, so Jesus as our Passover Lamb has delivered us through His blood. That is the deliverance to celebrate, that you have been brought out of the house of bondage, redeemed, and separated from the old life.

It is important to understand what that freedom means and what it does not mean. The Bible does not teach that emotions or a condition like barrenness can be transferred from one person to another as a spirit that then hinders your life. We are not under a spiritual contagion from relatives we have not seen for years. To live in fear that another person's struggle has attached itself to you is itself a kind of bondage, and God has not given you a spirit of bondage again to fear. He has given you the Spirit of adoption, by which you cry Abba, Father. Your relationship with God is not a legal yoke of fear and rules, it is the liberty of a child brought into the family through grace.

Emotions themselves are also very changeable and cannot be the measure of spiritual reality. They can swing quickly from laughter to tears and they cannot satisfy the deeper thirst of the soul. That thirst is for God Himself, and it is not satisfied by chasing one emotional experience after another, but by coming to Jesus and drinking from Him and building your faith on the facts of His Word. Salvation and assurance are God's work, received by trusting what He has said and what Christ has done, not by an emotional moment or by repeating a binding formula.

That helps to understand the verses you mentioned. Matthew 18:18 in context is about the authority given to the church in matters of discipline and restoration, not a method for binding spirits that may have come from another person. Isaiah 61:7 is a precious promise of God's restoration and double portion for His people who have suffered shame, and Revelation 12:11 reminds us that we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. To be covered by the blood of Jesus does not mean speaking a phrase over a prayer, it means resting in the finished work of Christ who died for your sins and rose again, whose blood alone redeems and cleanses.

God's deliverance is twofold. The moment you believe in Jesus you are delivered from the power that sin and the world had over you, and as you walk with Him He continues to deliver you day by day in the world, until one day He will deliver you completely into His presence. In that liberty Christ has made you free, so stand fast in it and do not entangle yourself again with a yoke of bondage, which includes any teaching that would put you back under fear that you are still tied to another person's past.

So my prayer for you is not that God would break a transfer that Scripture does not describe, but that you would know more deeply the true deliverance you already have in Christ. May the Lord give you peace from fear, a firm confidence that you are His adopted child, freedom from the bondage of sin, and joy in His power to make a way where there seems to be no way. As you look to Jesus, trust His blood shed for you, and keep your faith grounded in His Word, you can rejoice as those who have been truly set free, and that joy will be lasting because it rests on what He has done, not on changing feelings.

May the Lord establish you in that liberty and fill the thirst of your soul with Himself. In Jesus name, amen.
