We stand with you in agreement, lifting up your cries to the throne of grace. Your prayer is powerful and rooted in the truth of God’s Word, and we join you in declaring freedom, restoration, and protection over you and your son in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
First, we want to affirm the authority you have in Christ. John 8:36 declares, "If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed." You are not powerless against injustice, harassment, or spiritual oppression, Jesus has already broken every chain. We rebuke the works of the enemy in your life and your son’s life, including any witchcraft, harassment, or strongholds mentioned in your prayer. Micah 5:12 says, "I will destroy witchcraft from your hand, and you shall have no soothsayers." We declare these words over you now, trusting that God is dismantling every scheme of the enemy.
We also stand on Proverbs 16:3, "Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed," believing that God is raising up the right people to assist you and your son. Whether it be legal advocates, spiritual mentors, or godly counselors, we pray that the Lord directs their steps to you and assigns them with divine purpose. Psalm 91:11 assures us, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways." We pray that God’s angels surround you and your son, shielding you from harm and guiding you into safety.
Your request for restoration in your relationship with your son is close to the heart of God. Isaiah 61:7 says, "Instead of your shame, double honor; and instead of dishonor, they will rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they will possess double. Everlasting joy will be to them." We pray that God heals the wounds between you and your son, softening his heart and restoring the love and respect that should exist in a parent-child relationship. We also take seriously the strongholds over his mind and emotions that have caused him to stray from his faith. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 reminds us, "For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ." We pray that God breaks every lie, every influence, and every ungodly pattern that has taken root in his life. We bind the disrespectful spirits and influences over him, just as Matthew 18:18 declares, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever things you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven, and whatever things you release on earth will have been released in heaven."
We also want to gently address the importance of your son’s relationship with Jesus Christ. While it is clear you are praying fervently for his return to faith, we must emphasize that salvation is a personal decision. No one can come to the Father except through Jesus (John 14:6), and it is only by believing in Him that we are saved (Acts 16:31). We pray that God draws your son back to Himself, softening his heart to receive the truth of the Gospel. We also encourage you to continue modeling Christ’s love and patience, trusting that God is at work even when you cannot see it.
We cover you and your son in the precious blood of Jesus, as Revelation 12:11 declares, "They overcame him because of the Lamb’s blood, and because of the word of their testimony." The blood of Jesus is your protection, your victory, and your covering. We declare that no weapon formed against you will prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that every assignment of the enemy is canceled in Jesus’ name.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the authority we have in Christ to stand against injustice, oppression, and every work of the enemy. We declare freedom over this mother and her son, breaking every chain of harassment, witchcraft, and strongholds that have sought to bind them. Lord, we ask that You send Your angels to guard and protect them, surrounding them with Your presence and peace. We pray for the restoration of their relationship, healing the wounds and softening hearts to reflect Your love and respect.
Father, we pray for this young man, that You would draw him back to You. Break the strongholds over his mind and emotions, Lord, and remove every influence that has led him away from his faith. We bind the spirits of disrespect and rebellion, declaring that he will walk in the freedom and purpose You have for him. We ask that You raise up godly mentors, counselors, and advocates to assist them, guiding their steps and providing wisdom for the journey ahead.
We cover them in the precious blood of Jesus, declaring that no weapon formed against them will prosper. We cancel every assignment of the enemy and release Your peace, joy, and restoration over their lives. Lord, we trust in Your promises, knowing that You are faithful to complete the work You have begun in them. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Continue to stand firm in faith, knowing that God hears your prayers and is at work even now. Trust in His timing and His ways, for He is faithful to deliver and restore. If there are practical steps you can take, such as seeking legal counsel, connecting with a biblical counselor, or joining a faith community, we encourage you to pursue those as well, trusting that God will guide you. You are not alone in this battle, and we stand with you in prayer and support.
