Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We stand with you in this battle, lifting up your heart and the protection of your son before the throne of grace. Your cry for deliverance is heard, and we join you in declaring the victory of Christ over every scheme of the enemy. The manipulation, deceit, and abuse you describe are not of God, and we rebuke them in the mighty name of Jesus.

First, we must address the matter of unforgiveness in your own heart. Your brother’s refusal to help you, though hurtful and selfish, cannot be allowed to take root as bitterness. Scripture is clear: "If you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses" (Matthew 6:14-15 WEB). Forgiveness does not mean excusing his behavior; it means releasing the hold it has on you so that the enemy has no foothold. We pray that God softens your heart to forgive, even as you seek His justice and protection.

Your brother’s actions, his hypocrisy, manipulation, and abuse, are indeed the works of darkness. Jesus warned us, "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves" (Matthew 7:15 WEB). We stand with you in declaring that every principality, stronghold, and demonic influence operating through him is broken by the power of the cross. "He disarmed the rulers and authorities, and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in it" (Colossians 2:15 WEB). We rebuke the spirit of narcissism, control, and isolation in Jesus’ name, commanding it to flee.

We also pray for your brother’s heart. You ask for a heart of flesh instead of stone, and we join you in that prayer. Only the Holy Spirit can convict and transform him. "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me" (Psalm 51:10 WEB). But we must also acknowledge that true repentance is a work of God, not something we can demand or manipulate. If he remains unrepentant, we trust God to deal with him justly.

For you and your son, we pray for restoration and protection. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life abundantly (John 10:10 WEB). We declare that every negative word, every curse, and every attempt to hinder your growth is nullified in Jesus’ name. "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment" (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). We ask the Lord to send His angels to encamp around you and your son, shielding you from every attack (Psalm 91:11 WEB).

Regarding your living situation, we pray that God makes a way for your brother to move out if that is His will. "The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still" (Exodus 14:14 WEB). If he is causing harm, it is right to seek separation for your safety and peace. But we also encourage you to seek godly counsel, perhaps from a pastor or trusted Christian mentor, on how to navigate this practically.

Finally, we must emphasize that our battle is not against flesh and blood (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). Your brother is not your enemy; the forces of darkness working through him are. We pray that you would be rooted in God’s love, knowing that He sees your pain and will never leave you. "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18 WEB).

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name. We thank You for Your protection and deliverance. Lord, we stand on Your Word and declare that every foothold, stronghold, and principality operating through this brother is broken. We rebuke the spirit of manipulation, control, and unforgiveness in Jesus’ name. We cancel every curse, every negative word, and every attempt to harm this sister and her son.

Father, we ask that You send Your angels to guard and protect them. Surround them with Your hedge of protection, and let no weapon formed against them prosper. Lord, we pray for restoration, restore what has been stolen, heal what has been broken, and renew their strength. Give them wisdom and discernment in dealing with this situation, and lead them in Your perfect peace.

For the brother, we pray for Your conviction. Soften his heart, Lord, and lead him to true repentance. If he remains unrepentant, we trust You to deal with him justly. But we ask that You would break the chains of darkness over his life and set him free.

Father, we declare that this sister and her son are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus. We thank You for Your faithfulness, and we trust You to bring justice, healing, and deliverance. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We hear you, the weariness of living in constant tension, the frustration of seeing hypocrisy, the ache of wanting your son shielded from all that poison. When someone deliberately tries to provoke unforgiveness, it can feel like a trap being laid right in front of you. But you’ve named it, and you’re not surrendering to it.

One thing we’ve learned is that unforgiveness is often the enemy’s favorite foothold. Every time your brother acts in ways meant to hook your anger or resentment, he’s offering bait. The good news is that you don’t have to swallow it. Forgiveness, in moments like these, isn’t pretending the harm isn’t real; it’s a conscious decision to release the person into God’s hands so that bitterness can’t take root inside you. You can make that choice again and again, even when your emotions haven’t quieted down. That doesn’t erase the need for safety or wise boundaries, it simply starves the foothold the enemy wants to use.

Your prayers for God to reveal deceit and to root your brother out of your living space are honest and right. But often those shifts take time, and you don’t have to navigate this alone. Consider inviting a pastor or a mature, trusted believer into the picture, someone who can pray alongside you and help sort out practical steps for your home and your peace of mind.

We’re standing with you now.

Lord Jesus, thank you that you see every hidden manipulation and every ache this has caused. Guard this mom and her son from every spiritual snare. Give her steady resolve to keep forgiving, not to let the enemy gain ground in her heart. Shut any door that lets darkness linger, and open a clear way forward for their living situation. Surround them with your protection and with people who can truly help. We ask this in your strong name, Jesus. Amen.

You cry out from the very thick of the battle, where the Adversary has set a snare within the walls of your own household. It is a bitter thing when the hand that should have helped thrusts you down, and the words that should have brought peace only deepen the wound. But let us set our eyes not upon the wolf, however ravenous, but upon the Shepherd who has said, “Deliver him from going down to the Pit: I have found a ransom.” That ransom is none other than the precious blood of Christ, who has already broken the power of darkness and translated all His people into a kingdom of light. The footholds of unforgiveness, the snares of manipulation, the arrows that fly by day, these are not unknown to Him who was tempted in all points like as we are. And mark this: in every affliction, even that which comes through the venom of a brother’s spite, the Lord holds the cup. He chasteneth sorely, yet it is a Father’s hand that bruises, that we might be partakers of His holiness.

Do not waste the strength of your soul in chronicling the evil of another, for that would be to give him a foothold indeed. Rather, flee to the Stronghold. The name of the Lord is a high tower; the righteous runneth into it and is safe. When the robber bands came sweeping down upon the ancient villages, the peasants trusted not in their own arm but sought the mountain fortress prepared by a generous lord. So now, in this day of trouble, find your refuge in Jehovah-Shammah, the Lord who is there. He has not promised to root out every nettle from your path at the moment you ask, but He has promised to be with you in the fire and through the flood. And what is the comfort for Bartimaeus but this: the Master calls you. He bids you rise and come to Him, not to the perishing balms of earthly schemes or bitter recriminations, but to the healing ointment of His own wounds.

Let your prayer be soaked in this confidence: He who delivered you from the guilt of sin will certainly deliver you from its power and from the instruments of its malice. The same Grace that plucked you from the miry clay will keep your feet from sliding. And when the deliverance is complete, as surely it will be when He sees fit, then shall you declare the works of the Lord. Your mouth shall be filled with songs of deliverance, and you shall say, “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.” Until that hour, watch that you do not return evil for evil. Separate yourself from the spirit of the world that would make you a judge over your brother, and instead commit all to Him that judgeth righteously. He that is able to turn the heart of stone into a heart of flesh can bring even a wolf to the feet of the Lamb, if it be His will. But your soul’s safety lies not in the reformation of another, but in your own hiding place in Christ. Rest there. The battle is the Lord’s.

The Lord hears your cry for rescue, but the enemy’s foothold is not only in what your brother does; it is in what you hold onto. The first foothold to be broken may be the foothold of resentment in your own heart. You have laid out your brother’s sins at great length. Perhaps much of what you say is true. But the Lord does not need your accusations in order to judge rightly. He needs you to bring him your fear, your anger, and your desire to be free, and to ask him to make you holy in the midst of it.

It is right to ask for protection for yourself and your son. If your brother is truly abusive, seeking a safe dwelling and separation is not sin. But do not let the enemy use your brother’s wickedness to make you wicked. To pray for his removal while nursing hatred is to thrust a sword into yourself. What grief has he inflicted on you compared with the grief you will work in yourself by keeping anger in mind? If you remain watchful, the evil will come round on his own head; but if you stay indignant, you will suffer harm not from him but from yourself.

Examine yourself strictly. Sin is more grievous than a demon, for a demon makes a man humble, but sin makes him bold and unashamed. Before you ask the Lord to root out every negative thing your brother has planted, ask him to root out the bitterness that may be taking root in you. Do not use the Scriptures as formulas to command angels or cancel principalities as though you could control God. Stand fast in the freedom Christ gave you. Do not run back into slavery, either to fear of your brother or to hatred of him.

You have asked God to give your brother a heart of flesh and true repentance. That is a good request. But that is God’s work, not yours. You cannot root him out by your own strength. Entrust him to the Judge, set godly boundaries, and pray for yourself and your son to be kept from all resentment. Keep free from passion, keep unwounded. If you wish to smite another, you will bring the hurt upon yourself.

May the Lord guard you and your son, grant you a safe dwelling, and give you a clean heart. May he bring your brother to repentance or restrain him according to his will. And may you be found not only delivered from your brother’s sins but bright and beautiful in soul through the Spirit and good works.
