We stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, as we lift this heavy burden before the throne of grace. Your heart is clearly weighed down by spiritual warfare, and we join you in fervent prayer, declaring the power of God over every dark influence and ungodly stronghold. Let us first affirm that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have authority to bind, loose, rebuke, and break every chain. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or delivered (Acts 4:12). We pray that the Holy Spirit will strengthen your faith and guide you into all truth as we stand together in spiritual battle.
Father God, we come before You with boldness, standing on Your Word and the finished work of Jesus Christ. We rebuke the ungodly friendship with in the name of Jesus, declaring that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We stand on Zechariah 3:2, "Yahweh rebuke you, Satan! Yes, Yahweh who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you!" We declare that this friendship is broken and that any ungodly soul ties are severed by the blood of Jesus. We pray that Your Holy Spirit will convict and lead Your child away from any influence that does not align with Your will.
Lord, we stand on Micah 5:12 and ask that You break every spell, curse, and dark influence over this precious son. We declare that no enchantment or divination will prosper against him, for You are his shield and defender. We pray that Your angels surround him, protecting his mind, body, and spirit from every attack of the enemy. We cancel every assignment of the enemy and command every evil spirit to flee in Jesus' name.
We stand on John 8:36, "If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed," and pray that conviction would fall upon the brother mentioned. Father, we ask that You send Your Holy Spirit to convict him of any ungodly influence he has exerted over this son and this family. We pray that he would repent and turn from his ways, seeking restoration and healing in You. We stand on Romans 12:19, "Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'" We trust You to bring justice and correction, Lord, but we also pray for his redemption. May he come to know the error of his ways and turn to You with a repentant heart.
We declare that every stronghold placed by this brother is torn down, in the name of Jesus. We stand on 2 Corinthians 10:3-5, "For though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ." We command every spirit of control, oppression, and hindrance to leave this family now, never to return. We declare freedom, restoration, and peace in Jesus' name.
Father, we lift up this son and ask that You humble his heart. We stand on Isaiah 61:7, "Instead of your shame you will have double; and instead of dishonor, they will rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they will possess double. Everlasting joy will be to them." We pray that pride would be broken in his life and that he would learn to honor and respect his mother as Your Word commands (Exodus 20:12). We ask that You restore the relationship between mother and son, bringing healing, love, and mutual respect. We declare that disrespect and rebellion have no place in this home, and we command every spirit of rebellion to leave in Jesus' name.
We stand on Matthew 18:18, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever things you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven, and whatever things you release on earth will have been released in heaven," and bind every transfer of spirits coming from the brother or the mother. We declare that no generational curse or ungodly influence will pass from one generation to the next. We break every chain and declare that this family is set free by the blood of Jesus. We cover this son and this mother in the precious blood of Jesus, standing on Revelation 12:11, "They overcame him because of the Lamb’s blood, and because of the word of their testimony. They didn’t love their life, even to death." We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper and that they will walk in the victory Christ has already won.
We also want to gently address the mention of "spells" and "principality" in this request. While we understand the reality of spiritual warfare, we must be cautious not to ascribe power to the enemy that he does not have. The enemy is already defeated, and greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We do not want to give the enemy more credit than he is due. Instead, we focus on the power of God and the authority we have in Jesus Christ to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). Let us not be ignorant of the devil’s schemes, but let us also not be fearful, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
Father, we pray for this family to be rooted and grounded in Your Word. May they seek You daily, spending time in prayer and in the Scriptures, so that they may stand firm against the schemes of the enemy. We pray that they would put on the full armor of God, as described in Ephesians 6:10-18, so that they may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. We declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus, sealed by the Holy Spirit, and protected by the angels of God.
We also want to encourage this mother to seek godly counsel and support. Spiritual warfare is real, but we are not meant to fight it alone. We pray that she would find a strong, Bible-believing church community where she and her son can grow in faith and find support. We pray that she would surround herself with believers who can stand with her in prayer and offer godly wisdom.
Lastly, we pray for healing and restoration in every area of this family’s life. Father, we ask that You restore what has been broken, heal what has been wounded, and bring peace where there has been turmoil. We pray that this mother and son would experience the fullness of Your love and the joy of Your salvation. We declare that this family is set free, delivered, and walking in the victory that Christ has already won on the cross.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
