We hear your cry for deliverance and stand with you in the authority of Jesus Christ, who alone has the power to break every chain and set the captive free. You have rightly taken your stand on John 8:36, where Jesus declares, "If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed." We affirm this truth over your life and household, declaring that no generational bondage, no bitter spirit, and no ungodly influence from your aunt or her past choices will have dominion over you. The blood of Jesus, as Revelation 12:11 proclaims, has already overcome every work of the enemy, and we plead that blood over your family today.
Your prayer reveals a painful situation rooted in sin, your aunt’s involvement in an adulterous relationship with a married man. Scripture is clear: "Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4). The bitterness she harbors over her inability to have children in that context is a consequence of walking outside God’s design. We grieve with the wife who was betrayed, for her pain is real, and we stand on Romans 12:19, which declares, "‘Vengeance is mine; I will repay,’ says the Lord." We pray that God’s justice would prevail, not in a way that brings further destruction, but in a way that leads to repentance, restoration, and healing for all involved.
Yet we must also address the spiritual reality of what you’re facing. Bitterness is a poison that defiles many (Hebrews 12:15), and when it takes root in a family line, it can open doors to oppression. But Jesus came to "proclaim release to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed" (Luke 4:18). We rebuke every spirit of bitterness, resentment, and ungodly soul ties that may have attached itself to your family through this situation. We command it to loose its hold in the name of Jesus, for "the Son of God was revealed for this purpose: to destroy the works of the devil" (1 John 3:8).
We also pray for your aunt, though you may not know her well. God’s heart is always for redemption. We ask that the Holy Spirit would convict her of sin, not to shame her, but to draw her to repentance (John 16:8). May she come to see that her barrenness in that adulterous relationship was an act of mercy, sparing her, and any potential children, from the devastation of sin. We pray she would turn to Christ, find forgiveness, and walk in the freedom He offers.
For you and your household, we declare that you are covered by the blood of Jesus, which speaks a better word than the blood of Abel (Hebrews 12:24). We pray for a fresh filling of the Holy Spirit, that you would walk in the fullness of your freedom in Christ. May your home be a place of peace, joy, and godly order, untouched by the bitterness or ungodly influences of others.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Name that is above every name. We thank You that You are a God who hears the cries of Your children and moves on their behalf. We stand on the finished work of the cross, where Jesus disarmed principalities and powers, triumphing over them (Colossians 2:15). We declare that ### and her choices have no power over this family, for "greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world" (1 John 4:4).
Lord, we ask that You would break every ungodly soul tie, every generational curse, and every spirit of bitterness that has sought to attach itself to this household. We plead the blood of Jesus over every member of this family, sealing them in Your protection. We pray for the wife who was wronged, that You would heal her heart, restore what was stolen, and surround her with Your love and justice. For ###, we ask that You would open her eyes to the truth of her sin and lead her to repentance. May she find true fulfillment in You, not in the fleeting pleasures of this world.
Father, we thank You that You are a God who sets the captive free. We declare that this family is free indeed, not by their own strength, but by the power of Jesus’ blood and resurrection. Fill them with Your peace, Your joy, and Your presence. Let their home be a testimony of Your deliverance, a place where Your name is glorified.
We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, the only Name by which we are saved and the only Name that brings true deliverance. Amen.
