We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting you and your son up in prayer. We stand with you in agreement, declaring that our Lord Jesus Christ has already won the victory over every principality, power, and spiritual force of wickedness. Your prayer is powerful, rooted in the truth of God’s Word, and we join you in rebuking every scheme of the enemy that has sought to sow bitterness, perversion, and division in your lives.
First, we rebuke the spirit of bitterness that has attempted to take root in your emotions. The Word of God is clear: *"Looking carefully lest there be any man who falls short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it"* (Hebrews 12:15). We declare that this root is uprooted in the name of Jesus, and we pray that the peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding, guards your hearts and minds (Philippians 4:7). You and your son are set free by the Son of God, as Jesus Himself declared: *"If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed"* (John 8:36). We stand on this truth, believing that the chains of bitterness are broken.
We also take authority over the principality operating through this individual, canceling every assignment of darkness in the mighty name of Jesus. The apostle Paul reminds us that Christ *"disarmed the rulers and authorities, and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in it"* (Colossians 2:15). We declare that every demonic network, every perverse influence, and every evil scheme is dismantled and scattered. As Psalm 68:1 proclaims, *"Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered! Let them that hate him also flee before him."* We stand on this promise, trusting that the Lord will cause confusion in the camp of the enemy and bring his plans to nothing.
We are grieved to hear of the perversions and attacks aimed at you and your son. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you might have life—and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every demonic force that has sought to defile or harm your son, declaring that he is rescued and protected by the power of God. The Lord is his refuge and fortress, and no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We stand on 2 Timothy 4:18, believing that the Lord will rescue him from every evil deed and bring him safely into His heavenly kingdom.
We also take up the authority given to us in Luke 10:19, where Jesus says, *"Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you."* We declare that you and your son are empowered to trample over every scheme of the devil. The blood of Jesus covers you, and we stand on Revelation 12:11: *"They overcame him because of the Lamb’s blood, and because of the word of their testimony."* Your testimony is powerful, and the enemy cannot stand against the blood of the Lamb.
Now, we pray with you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name above every name. We thank You that You are our Deliverer, our Protector, and our Strong Tower. We lift up this family to You, asking that You would break every chain of bitterness, perversion, and demonic influence that has sought to harm them. Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, we ask that You would dismantle every principality and power operating through this individual. Let confusion and division come into the enemy’s camp, and let every perverse scheme be scattered. We declare that Your light exposes the darkness, and we pray that this person would come to repentance and turn from their wicked ways. If they refuse, we ask that You would bind their actions and render them powerless to harm Your children.
Lord, we pray for healing and restoration for this mother and son. Heal their hearts from any wounds caused by bitterness or fear. Fill them with Your peace, joy, and love. Strengthen them to walk in the authority You have given them, trampling over every scheme of the enemy. We declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37).
We cover them in the precious blood of Jesus, knowing that no evil can stand against it. We thank You that they are safe in Your hands, and we trust You to bring justice and deliverance in Your perfect timing. May they continue to stand firm in their faith, knowing that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6).
We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing on the Word of God and walking in the authority you have in Christ. The enemy may try to intimidate or discourage you, but remember that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). If there are areas where you or your son need further healing or deliverance, we encourage you to seek godly counsel from a pastor or mature believer who can stand with you in prayer and support.
Lastly, we want to gently remind you of the importance of forgiveness. While we have rebuked the enemy and his schemes, holding onto unforgiveness can give the enemy a foothold in your life. Jesus teaches us to forgive others as we have been forgiven (Matthew 6:14-15). This does not mean what was done was right, but it releases you from the bondage of bitterness. Ask the Lord to help you forgive this person, not for their sake, but for your own freedom and peace.
