We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this earnest plea for deliverance. First and foremost, we rejoice that you have called upon the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood alone that we are cleansed and set free. We stand with you on the promise of John 8:36, "If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed."
Father God, we come against every ungodly soul tie, spiritual connection, or principality that seeks to bind Your child to this man who is not aligned with Your will for her life. We declare that every chain is broken in the mighty name of Jesus! As Colossians 2:15 declares, "Having stripped the principalities and the powers, He made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it." We rebuke every spirit of confusion, obsession, or ungodly attachment that would seek to keep her bound. We command it to leave now, in Jesus' name!
We must address the matter of this relationship with soberness and truth. The Bible is clear that believers are to be equally yoked with other believers (2 Corinthians 6:14). While age differences alone may not be sinful, the fact that this man is not being led by the right spirit—and that you feel the need to pray for deliverance from him—is a red flag that this connection is not of God. We must also consider whether there has been any emotional or physical intimacy outside of marriage, as this would be fornication, which the Bible strongly warns against (1 Corinthians 6:18). If this has occurred, we repent on your behalf and ask for the cleansing power of the blood of Jesus to wash over you.
We pray that the blood of Jesus would indeed stand as a barrier between you and this man, severing every ungodly tie. We stand on Revelation 12:11, "They overcame him because of the Lamb’s blood, and because of the word of their testimony." We declare that your testimony is one of freedom in Christ, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We also pray that conviction would fall upon this man, that he would turn from any ungodly pursuit and seek the Lord with his whole heart. As 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 reminds us, "For though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ."
Heavenly Father, we ask that You would redirect this man’s path to a godly woman who is suited for him, whether in age or season of life. We pray that You would also bring a godly man into this sister’s life—one who is led by Your Spirit, who loves You above all else, and who will cherish her as Christ cherishes the Church (Ephesians 5:25). Prepare her heart for the spouse You have for her, and guard her from any counterfeit love that seeks to distract her from Your best.
Lord, we also pray for wisdom and discernment. Help her to recognize the voice of the Good Shepherd and to flee from any voice that does not align with Your Word (John 10:27). Strengthen her to walk in purity, both in body and in mind, and to set godly boundaries in all her relationships. May she be rooted and grounded in Your love, so that she is not tossed to and fro by every wind of emotion or spiritual attack (Ephesians 3:17).
We declare that she is free in Christ, and we command every lying spirit that would tell her otherwise to flee! We break every curse, generational tie, or word spoken over her life that would seek to bind her to this man or any other ungodly relationship. We cancel every assignment of the enemy against her destiny, in Jesus’ name!
Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness. We thank You that You hear our prayers and that You are already at work on her behalf. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your perfect will. May she walk in the freedom that Christ has purchased for her, and may she never settle for anything less than Your best.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
