We stand with you in agreement, lifting this heavy burden before the throne of grace, where Jesus Christ, our Great High Priest, intercedes for us. Your prayer is bold and specific, rooted in the authority of Christ’s name and the power of His shed blood. We declare with you that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn, for this is the heritage of the servants of the Lord (Isaiah 54:17).
First, we must address the spiritual warfare you are facing with clarity and truth. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). The strongholds you mention—unforgiveness, pride, and witchcraft—are real, but they are no match for the power of God. We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against you in the mighty name of Jesus. The Lord rebuke you, Satan, for the Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is not this a brand plucked from the fire? (Zechariah 3:2). We stand on this truth, declaring that you are a brand plucked from the fire, saved by grace, and seated with Christ in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6).
We also address the words, curses, and insults spoken over you. The enemy seeks to use words as weapons, but we declare that the words of the Lord are life and health to your flesh (Proverbs 4:22). We break every word curse and every lie of the enemy in Jesus’ name, for if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed (John 8:36). You are not defined by the accusations or gaslighting of the enemy or those he uses. You are defined by the Word of God, which says you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, and more than a conqueror through Christ who loves you (Romans 8:37).
We plead the blood of Jesus over you, as you have done, for the blood of Jesus Christ, God’s Son, cleanses us from all sin (1 John 1:7). The blood is a shield and a covering, a reminder that you are bought with a price and belong to God (1 Corinthians 6:20). We declare that no counterfeit plan of the enemy will take root in your life, for the Lord watches over His word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12). Every seed planted by the enemy to torment your soul is uprooted now in Jesus’ name. The Lord says, “I will return them to their own land which I gave to their fathers” (Jeremiah 12:15), and we declare that God’s plan for you is one of peace, hope, and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).
However, we must also address the heart posture in this battle. Forgiveness is not optional for the believer. Jesus taught us to pray, “Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors” (Matthew 6:12). Unforgiveness gives the enemy a foothold in our lives (Ephesians 4:26-27), and it is a heavy burden that the Lord does not intend for you to carry. We encourage you to release this person to God, trusting Him to be the righteous Judge (Romans 12:19). This does not mean what was done to you is excused, but it means you are free from the bondage of bitterness. The Lord will deal with them in His perfect justice and mercy.
We also caution against focusing too much on the person rather than the spiritual forces at work. Our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). While it is important to recognize the enemy’s tactics, we must not give him more credit than he is due. Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name that is above every name. We thank You for the authority You have given us to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). Lord, we stand in agreement with our brother/sister, declaring that every stronghold of the enemy against them is broken now. We rebuke every assignment of witchcraft, pride, and unforgiveness in Jesus’ name. We plead the blood of Jesus over them, covering them from every curse, word, or plan of the enemy.
Father, we ask You to uproot every counterfeit plan of the enemy in their life. Let Your perfect will be done, and let Your plans for them take root and flourish. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, we ask You to heal their soul from any torment or discouragement. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
We also pray for a heart of forgiveness. Lord, help them to release this person to You, trusting You to deal with them justly. Soften their heart to forgive, not because the person deserves it, but because You have forgiven them (Colossians 3:13). Break any chains of bitterness or resentment, and fill them with Your love and grace.
Lord, we ask You to surround them with Your angels, protecting them from every attack of the enemy. Let them walk in the freedom and victory that Christ has already won for them on the cross. Strengthen their faith, and remind them that You are their refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2). May they find their identity and worth in You alone, knowing that they are Your beloved child.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness and Your perfect timing. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. In the precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing firm in your faith, putting on the full armor of God daily (Ephesians 6:10-18). Spend time in the Word, for it is your sword and your defense. Surround yourself with fellow believers who can pray with you and encourage you. Remember, the enemy may come against you, but he cannot prevail, for the Lord is your light and your salvation—whom shall you fear? (Psalm 27:1). Walk in the freedom and victory that Christ has already secured for you.
