We come before the throne of grace with hearts heavy yet hopeful, lifting this cry for deliverance to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood alone that we are redeemed and set free. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We stand firmly on the truth that Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8) and that whom the Son sets free is free indeed (John 8:36).
Father, we lift up this situation before You, acknowledging that the enemy comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every scheme of the devil that has sought to torment, bind, or hinder this household. We declare that no weapon formed against Your children shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We stand on the authority of Jesus’ name to break every chain, hex, spell, divination, and word curse that has been spoken or enacted. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God (2 Corinthians 10:4-5).
We plead the precious blood of Jesus over this situation, knowing that it speaks a better word than the blood of Abel (Hebrews 12:24). The blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin (1 John 1:7) and serves as a barrier between the schemes of the enemy and the children of God. We declare that the accuser of the brethren is cast down, and they have overcome him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony (Revelation 12:11). Lord, we ask that You scatter every plan of the enemy to harm or torment. As You scattered the enemies of Israel, we ask that You scatter these schemes and render them powerless (Exodus 23:27).
Father, we also ask for restoration in every area of life that has been affected by these attacks. You promise in Your Word that instead of shame, Your people will have double honor, and instead of confusion, they will rejoice in their portion (Isaiah 61:7). We claim this promise over this household, trusting that You will restore what has been lost, heal what has been broken, and renew what has been stolen. We ask that You would fill every void with Your peace, joy, and presence.
We also take this moment to address the spiritual warfare at hand with discernment and wisdom. The enemy often seeks to use individuals, knowingly or unknowingly, to carry out his schemes. We pray for the heart of the one who has been used in this way. Father, we ask that You would open their eyes to the truth of Your love and the freedom found in Christ. If they are operating in darkness, we ask that You would shine Your light into their heart and lead them to repentance (2 Corinthians 4:6). We do not condemn them but pray for their deliverance and salvation, that they too may experience the freedom and peace that only Jesus can give.
Lord, we also recognize that unforgiveness, bitterness, or offense can create openings for the enemy to work. We ask that You would search the hearts of all involved and reveal any areas where forgiveness is needed. Help us to forgive as You have forgiven us (Colossians 3:13), releasing any bitterness or resentment to You. We declare that love covers a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8), and we choose to walk in love, even in the face of adversity.
Finally, we ask that You would surround this household with Your angels, commanding them to encamp around those who fear You and deliver them (Psalm 34:7). We declare that no evil shall befall them, nor shall any plague come near their dwelling (Psalm 91:10). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to stand firm in the armor of God, taking up the shield of faith with which they can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one (Ephesians 6:16).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Deliverer, Redeemer, and King. Amen.
