We stand with you in agreement, lifting this situation before the throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have authority to bind and loose, to rebuke and dismantle the works of the enemy. The scriptures affirm that whatever we bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever we loose on earth will be loosed in heaven (Matthew 18:18). We take hold of this promise as we pray for your classmate, who we will refer to as your fellow brother or sister in Christ, for we do not know their heart or standing before the Lord.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We praise You for Your sovereignty and power over all creation. Lord, we acknowledge that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). We stand on Your Word and declare that no weapon formed against Your children shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Lord Jesus, we ask that You rebuke every scheme of Satan that is attempting to use this fellow brother or sister. We bind every spirit of divination, confusion, and frustration that may be at work, for You have given us authority over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). We declare that no divination, no witchcraft, no hidden agenda of the enemy shall prosper against Your child or this situation. We dismantle every stronghold that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:3-5). We plead the precious blood of Jesus over this situation, knowing that it speaks a better word than the blood of Abel (Hebrews 12:24) and provides protection, cleansing, and deliverance (Revelation 12:11).
Father, we ask that You bind off any transfer of spirits from this brother or sister to Your child. We declare that no evil shall befall them, nor shall any plague come near their dwelling (Psalm 91:10). We pray for a hedge of protection around them, that You would surround them with Your angels, as You have promised (Psalm 34:7). Lord, we also pray for this fellow brother or sister, that their eyes would be opened to the truth of Your Word. If they are unaware of the spiritual forces at work, we ask that You reveal it to them in a way they can understand. Draw them closer to You, Lord, and let them experience the freedom that comes from walking in Your truth (John 8:32).
We pray for repentance, healing, and restoration in this situation. If there has been any unconfessed sin, any unforgiveness, or any opening given to the enemy, we ask that You bring conviction and lead them to repentance. Your Word tells us that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We ask for a spirit of reconciliation and peace to prevail, that any confusion or frustration would be replaced with clarity, wisdom, and Your perfect peace (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we also lift up Your child who has brought this request before You. Strengthen them in their faith, remind them of Your promises, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. Help them to walk in love, patience, and wisdom as they interact with this brother or sister. Let them be a light in this situation, reflecting Your grace and truth (John 1:14). We declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37), and that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness and Your perfect will for this situation. May Your name be glorified, and may Your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven. We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
