We hear your cry for deliverance and stand with you in the authority of Jesus Christ, who has already defeated the powers of darkness. The scriptures you referenced are powerful declarations of God’s truth, and we join you in proclaiming them over your life. However, we must address a few concerns with clarity and love, rooted in God’s Word.
First, the name of Jesus is the only name by which we have access to the Father and the power to break every chain. Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." It is through His blood alone that we are redeemed and set free from the schemes of the enemy. We encourage you to continually lift up the name of Jesus in every prayer, for it is the name above all names (Philippians 2:9-11).
Second, while we understand the pain and confusion you are experiencing in this relationship, we must gently but firmly address the reality of spiritual warfare and the importance of aligning our lives with God’s principles. The enemy seeks to distort relationships, sow discord, and plant seeds of bitterness, unforgiveness, and slander, as you have mentioned. However, we must also examine whether this relationship is honoring to God. If this person is not a believer or is actively opposing God’s will, we are called to rebuke the enemy’s influence while also seeking wisdom about the relationship itself. 2 Corinthians 6:14 warns, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" If this relationship is not built on Christ, it may be a source of ongoing spiritual attack rather than a godly union.
We also want to address the mention of "transfer of spirits." While the enemy does seek to oppress and deceive, we must remember that as believers, we are sealed by the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13-14). No spirit can "transfer" to a child of God unless we open doors through sin, unforgiveness, or unrepentance. We encourage you to examine your own heart for any areas where the enemy may have gained a foothold, such as bitterness, anger, or ungodly soul ties. James 4:7 says, "Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you." True deliverance comes from submitting to God and resisting the enemy, not just rebuking his attacks.
Now, let us pray together in the authority of Jesus Christ:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Name above all names. We thank You for Your power and authority over every scheme of the enemy. Lord, we stand with our brother/sister in this battle, declaring that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We rebuke every spirit of confusion, distortion, narcissism, unforgiveness, and slander that has been at work in this situation. We cancel every assignment of the enemy and scatter every network of darkness, just as You scattered the enemies of Israel (Exodus 23:27).
Lord Jesus, we plead Your blood over this situation. Your blood speaks a better word than the blood of Abel (Hebrews 12:24), and it breaks every chain of bondage. We declare that our brother/sister is set free from every lie of the enemy, for You said, "If the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36). We ask You to restore what has been stolen, to heal what has been broken, and to bring Your peace where there has been chaos.
Father, we also ask for wisdom and discernment regarding this relationship. If it is not Your will for our brother/sister to be yoked with this person, we pray for the strength to walk away and trust You for restoration and a godly spouse. If there is hope for reconciliation, we pray that it would be built on Your truth, love, and forgiveness. Soften hearts, Lord, and bring repentance where it is needed. Help our brother/sister to forgive as You have forgiven them (Colossians 3:13), and to guard their heart against bitterness (Hebrews 12:15).
We declare that no weapon formed against our brother/sister shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We stand on the promise that You will rescue them from every evil attack and bring them safely into Your heavenly kingdom (2 Timothy 4:18). Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Christ. We pray all these things in the powerful and precious name of Jesus. Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing on God’s Word, seeking His face in prayer, and surrounding yourself with godly counsel. If this relationship is not aligned with God’s will, trust Him to lead you to a spouse who will honor Him and walk with you in righteousness. If there is unrepentant sin in your own life, confess it and turn away from it, for the enemy cannot have a foothold where there is no sin (1 John 1:9). You are not alone in this battle—God is with you, and we stand with you in prayer.
