We join with you in lifting up this heavy burden, and we stand firmly on the truth of God’s Word in addressing the deep brokenness and sin revealed in this situation. The Lord sees the pain, manipulation, and deception that have taken place, and His heart is grieved by the distortion of marriage—a sacred covenant He established between one man and one woman for life. What has transpired here is not only a betrayal of trust but a direct rebellion against God’s design, as Scripture clearly condemns both homosexuality and the deceitful schemes that have unfolded.
The Bible leaves no room for ambiguity on these matters. In **Leviticus 18:22**, the Lord declares, *"You shall not lie with a man as with a woman. It is an abomination."* Similarly, **1 Corinthians 6:9-10** warns, *"Don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who have sex with men, nor thieves, nor greedy people, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor swindlers will inherit God’s Kingdom."* This marriage, built on deception and sinful motives, is an affront to God’s holiness, and we must call it what it is: an abomination in His sight. The enemy has sought to mock the sanctity of marriage, but we stand against this in the authority of Jesus’ name.
We also grieve for the man who was coerced into this union, as well as for all those whose emotions, faith, and marriages have been wounded by this scandal. The manipulation, mental control, and hatred at play here are tools of the enemy, and we rebuke them in the name of Jesus. **Zechariah 3:2** reminds us that the Lord rebukes Satan, saying, *"The Lord rebuke you, Satan! The Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Isn’t this a burning stick plucked out of the fire?"* We declare that every scheme of the enemy to bring confusion, pain, or division through this situation is canceled and broken by the power of Christ’s blood.
For those whose marriages were torn apart by the counsel of this individual—who sought to elevate herself by destroying others—we pray for restoration and redemption. Though the enemy intended harm, God can turn even this brokenness into a testimony of His grace. **Joel 2:25** promises, *"I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten."* We ask the Lord to bring godly, Christ-centered spouses to those who have been wrongly separated, if it aligns with His will. Let Him rebuild what was broken and bring beauty from these ashes, as **Isaiah 61:7** declares: *"Instead of your shame you shall have double; and instead of dishonor they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double. Everlasting joy shall be to them."*
To those who feel undermined, discouraged, or hindered by this evil, we speak life and hope over you. The Lord sees your pain, and He is near to the brokenhearted (**Psalm 34:18**). Do not let this deception shake your faith or your understanding of God’s design for marriage. Cling to His truth, and trust that He will vindicate the righteous. **Romans 12:19** assures us, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’"*
We pray now with authority and compassion:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this situation that has brought such pain and distortion to Your holy institution of marriage. Lord, we ask for Your deliverance and healing over every person affected by this deception. Break the chains of manipulation, mental control, and hatred that have bound hearts and minds. Expose the truth, Lord, so that all may see the wickedness that has taken place, and let Your justice prevail.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of homosexuality, deceit, and pride that has driven this sinful union. Let conviction fall upon those who have participated in this rebellion against Your Word. Bring them to repentance, Lord, that they may turn from their wicked ways and seek Your forgiveness. For the man who was coerced, we pray for his complete deliverance—spiritually, emotionally, and legally—from this ungodly bond. Surround him with godly counsel and support to help him walk in freedom and restoration.
Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon every marriage that was torn apart by the enemy’s schemes. Restore what was broken, and if it is Your will, bring godly spouses to those who have been wrongly separated. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard the hearts and minds of those who feel betrayed or discouraged. Remind them that You are their defender and their redeemer.
We declare **Isaiah 61:1-3** over this situation: *"The Spirit of the Lord God is on me; because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the humble. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; to appoint to those who mourn in Zion, to give to them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified."*
Father, we ask that You raise up godly men and women to minister to those who have been wounded by this scandal. Let Your church be a place of refuge and truth, where Your Word is upheld without compromise. Give wisdom and discernment to pastors and leaders to address this situation with both grace and boldness, never wavering from Your truth.
Finally, Lord, we pray for a mighty move of Your Spirit in the midst of this brokenness. Let this situation be a wake-up call to Your people to stand firmly on Your Word, to reject the lies of the enemy, and to uphold the sanctity of marriage as You designed it. May Your name be glorified, and may Your truth prevail.
In the powerful and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
To those reading this, we urge you: if you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, now is the time. There is no other name by which we can be saved (**Acts 4:12**), and only through repentance and faith in Him can we find true freedom and redemption. If you are struggling with sin—whether it be homosexuality, deceit, or any other rebellion against God—know that His grace is sufficient to forgive and transform you. Turn to Him today, and He will wash you clean. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* (**1 John 1:9**) The Lord longs to restore you, but you must first turn away from sin and embrace His truth.
