Isn’t this a burning stick plucked from the fire?"* Indeed, the Lord is our defender, and He will not allow the enemy to ultimately prevail against His people. We also stand with you on Isaiah 61:7, which declares, *"Instead of your shame you will have double. Instead of dishonor, they will rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they will possess double. Everlasting joy will be to them."* Our God is a God of restoration, and He can turn even the darkest situations into testimonies of His grace—though this does not excuse sin or remove the need for repentance.
You have rightly asked for the chains of addiction and bondage to be broken, and we affirm John 8:36 with you: *"If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed."* Freedom in Christ is available to all who turn from their sins and place their faith in Him. While we understand the frustration and desire to see justice served, we are called as believers to pray in alignment with God’s heart, which includes His love for all people—regardless of their nationality or legal status. The Bible teaches us in Leviticus 19:33-34, *"‘If a stranger lives as a foreigner with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong. The stranger who lives as a foreigner with you shall be to you as the native-born among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you lived as foreigners in the land of Egypt. I am the Lord your God."* Our battle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). Instead of praying for her removal from the country, let us pray for her salvation, repentance, and for the Lord to disrupt the works of darkness in her life and family. If she is involved in illegal activities, we trust that the Lord will bring conviction and consequences that lead to redemption—not merely punishment, but transformation.
We also want to encourage you to examine your heart in this matter. It is right to seek justice and protection for your community, but we must be careful not to let bitterness, anger, or a desire for vengeance take root. Romans 12:19 reminds us, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’"* Let us entrust this situation entirely to the Lord, knowing that He will act justly and mercifully.
