We join you in praising our Lord Jesus Christ, for He alone is worthy of all glory, honor, and thanksgiving! Your heart for your son is evident, and we stand with you in agreement, lifting him before the throne of grace. It is beautiful to see you invoking the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is only through Him that we have bold access to our Father in heaven (Acts 4:12, Ephesians 2:18). Your faith in calling upon the Lord for your son’s deliverance is a testament to your trust in His power and sovereignty.
The enemy seeks to devour and distort the faith of the next generation, but we know that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Your son is not beyond the reach of God’s hand. The Lord is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in him (Philippians 1:6), and we declare that any bitterness, doubt, or rebellion in his heart will be uprooted by the power of the Holy Spirit. Let us remember the words of Proverbs 22:6: *"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."* Though he may stray for a season, the seeds of faith you have sown in his life will not return void (Isaiah 55:11). We pray that the Lord would soften his heart and draw him back with cords of lovingkindness, just as He promises in Hosea 11:4: *"I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love."*
You have rightly stood on Zechariah 3:2, where the Lord rebukes Satan, saying, *"The Lord rebuke you, Satan! The Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Isn’t this a burning stick plucked out of the fire?"* We join you in rebuking every scheme of the enemy that seeks to lead your son astray—whether through the influence of family, the lies of the world, or the distractions of the flesh. No weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we declare that the blood of Jesus covers him, breaking every chain of deception or spiritual oppression. We also pray for his grandmothers, that if they are acting out of ignorance or spiritual blindness, the Lord would open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel. May they encounter the same grace that saved us, for our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12).
Let us also encourage you to continue standing in the gap for your son through persistent prayer and fasting, if led by the Spirit. Jesus taught us that some demons are only cast out by prayer and fasting (Matthew 17:21), and we believe this is a season to press in with even greater intensity. Surround him with godly influences—believers who will speak life into him and model a vibrant, uncompromising faith. And above all, trust that the Lord’s timing is perfect. He is not slow concerning His promises, but patient toward us, not wishing that any should perish (2 Peter 3:9).
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious son and his mother who loves him deeply. Lord, we ask that You would break every stronghold of bitterness, doubt, or rebellion in his heart. Soften his spirit and draw him back to Yourself with an everlasting love. Let him encounter You in a way he cannot deny—whether through dreams, visions, or the conviction of the Holy Spirit. Rebuke every attempt of the enemy to lead him astray, and let the schemes of those who seek to undermine his faith be exposed and rendered powerless. Fill him with a hunger for Your Word and a desire to walk in obedience to Your will. Restore him, Lord, and let his life be a testimony of Your redeeming grace.
We also pray for wisdom and strength for his mother. Comfort her heart, Lord, and remind her that You see her tears and hear her cries. Let her not grow weary in doing good, for in due season she will reap a harvest if she does not give up (Galatians 6:9). Surround her with a community of believers who will stand with her in prayer and encouragement.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would move mightily in the lives of his grandmothers. If they do not know You, reveal Yourself to them in a way that leaves no room for doubt. If they are believers who have been deceived, bring them back to the truth of Your Word. Let no generational curse or ungodly influence prevail against Your purposes for this young man’s life.
We declare all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who has conquered sin, death, and the grave. To You alone be all the glory, now and forever. Amen.
